The Meta-rep conference program is online: https://t.co/1tqTvLUjfi from the 28th to 31st of October. Looks like it will be a great conference with many of my favorite metascientists presenting!
This year we host in October the META-REP 2024, an international conference focusing on meta-science and replicability in the cognitive, behavioral, and social sciences. The deadline for submissions is April 30. Contribute to vital discussions on meta-science and replicability.
In July 2021, the UK @HouseofCommons launched an inquiry into the reproducibility of research. Evidence was submitted on whether there was a ‘reproducibility crisis’, the roles of different stakeholders in addressing this, & the measures required for openness & rigour. A🧵(1/X):
On March 30th 1867, Alaska was purchased from Russia for 7.2 million $. Today we present to the internet: Our totally free framework to harmonize & analyze multi-lab data! Thanks for having us, @eshackathon
Also, check out our preprint: https://t.co/CrL3qQishS
🚨Interested in open data and meta-science? Want to work on a project focusing on the sustainable use of data and new publication formats (living analyses)? We have an opening for a Post-doc or PhD project funded by the @VolkswagenSt with me, @EhlersMana and @BlaskKatarina!
Preprint Alert!
Computational Reproducibility is hard work, multi-labs are hard work. We propose a standardized framework to deal with analyses for group comparisons in multi-labs. Featuring: An R-package and a Shiny App!
I'm really excited to tell you that we launched a new project to help improve the scientific study of psychology: Transparent Replications by Clearer Thinking!

What can be done to fix the field of psychology?
[megathread] 🧵
We close our introduction-series with the project by Prof. Dr. Auspurg, Dr. Schneck, Daniel Krähmer and Laura Schächtele. Their project asks: How can the robustness of non-experimental social science research be improved with the help of computational multi model programs?
In our next introduction we present the project "Replicating Failed Replications". @kognDisso and Patrick Smela develop a model using machine learning to predict replication success based on potentially non-linear relations of properties of original and replication studies.
In this week we present the project "Explaining Heterogeneity in Direct Replications: Just Methodological Artefacts?". @MorHeene, @renkew, @FuenderichJ, @LBnhr and @epizyklen working on the improvement of meta-analyses by reanalysing data from multi-center replication projects.
Here is our third video. In @BreznauNate's project, he explores the role of theory in understanding the replication crisis. Have a good start to the weekend and stay interested in Meta Science
Starting the new week, we present our second project introduction. @jrgptrs, @flneubauer and @Rose__Julian carry out research about the Relicability of Instrumental Variables and Randomized Controlled Trials in Economics. #metarep
We made a thing... I’m not crying - you are crying... sending so much love to all of you out there in the world! We will get through this together! ❤️ #teamjohannsebastian#unitedthroughmusic#wearefamily

Special Issue "#OpenScience in Psychology" Out Now. Associated conf. (organized by @MorHeene @renkew@prof_bosnjak, pic. f.l.t.r) was held @ZPID. Keynote talks by @siminevazire @Tom_Hardwicke @richarddmorey Greg Francis available as videos. https://t.co/1tukHBDmnL

New special issue on #OpenScience, with a number of interesting papers (e.g. by @cruwelli). The editorial by @MorHeene summarizes well what motivates me about the movement: constructive people driving real changes to better science.
