Take a week off.
Burning out at work? Take a week off.
Losing motivation in the gym? Take a week off.
Finding it hard to write or read? Take a week off.
Then come back to it at 110%.
Rest does wonders.
Grayson is an amazing role model!
It’s OK to feel self conscious. Even world champions feel it! Thank you @racin__grayson for normalizing those feelings, and for showing that HARD work can be accompanied by hard rest.

In this @ForTheLRPod, we talked about
-trail running in Hawaii
-the benefits of training solo
-relationship with competition / training
-race selection
-balancing work and life demands with training
-saunas and heat training
-working with @MountainRoche
-@restdaybrags
and more!
Rest days are important! Building them in before we NEED them is important, granted it doesn’t always happen that way. But today I’m happy to take a rest day when I don’t feel like I need one ❤️ 🙃 also brunch with friends is always a nice way to spend a rest day
