Open source custody infrastructure and protocol. For your bitcoin.
The only Bitcoin Vault in existence, as in a multi-stage Bitcoin transaction wallet.
Our boss gave you a 10k word thread on vaults this weekend. ๐งต
If you were busy frolicking and didn't read it (like us), here's a shorter explanation of vaults with lots of emojis:
@revaultdev was--still is, one of the most interesting novel Bitcoin products I've ever seen. It breaks my soul watching literally every institution and big service provider in the space converging within a handful of mega custodian honeypot, when people like Kevin and @Wizardsardine actually worked to fix the hard problems, the right way, and factually ship and see no traction, even from the most "hardcore Bitcoiner" companies.
Yes, it required some very complex engineering, but they pulled off a real vault design, without covenants, and nobody cared. I don't think vaults move the covenants needle significantly.
Revault works today, without covenants. If a large institution need a Bitcoin vault today, we can help them integrate it. Don't expect it to be simple to deploy, but it works.
If you needed Vaults so bad, you would already use some.
Sure, UX without covenants is a massive pain, but if it's enough to deter 100% of people and companies, maybe it's not that "needed" after all.
Don't get me wrong, as a builder on later 1, I absolutely want covenants. 1/5
Fucked up an outgoing transaction? Watching it helplessly while it's being picked up by a miner?
Next time, deploy Revault. Cancel outgoing transactions with no fear. You can even have a watchtower automatically cancel it if it looks outrageous like that one.
@raphjaph@Rob1Ham@revaultdev liana is doing amazing things with miniscript. revault is my spirit animal.
@mercury_wallet uses a really cool MPC scheme plus mainstay (*the* coolest way to anchor to bitcoin) to do statechains (digital opendime)

The conversation with @KLoaec on the Genesis of @revaultdev from a post by @kanzure on bitcoin-dev
Such a great example of how an idea becomes a company formed to provide tangible solution to a problem

But yes, it's a complex infrastructure to maintain.
New speaker announcement!
Weโre thrilled to have the CEO of @Wizardsardine Kevin Loaec speak at #bitcoin2023!
Kevin and Wizardsardine are building Revault, an open-source #BTC custody platform utilizing #Bitcoin smart contracts.
[BRONZE PARTNER INTRODUCTION]
@Wizardsardine is a team of bitcoiners with a passion for security working on @revaultdev and Liana Wallet. CEO @KLoaec will be speaking on the stage during the conference.
Introducing Liana, by @Wizardsardine . A new type of Bitcoin wallet built around Miniscript: it feels like any wallet BUT it has a big difference: you have a recovery path after you stop moving funds for a while. What does this mean, practically?
-> backups
-> inheritance
