In the shadow of genocide, healing continues Beit Lahia.

Yesterday, we held yet another weekly Medical Treatment Day For the Wounded in North Gaza, once again at Beit Lahia School. Our medical team treated 11 cases of injuries and an amputation.

Beit Lahia, located in the far northern reaches of Gaza, has become a medical desert where thousands of wounded civilians struggle to access basic care. Many residents endure weeks without dressing changes for severe injuries, forced to navigate long distances and dangerous, rubble-strewn terrain to reach the few functioning medical facilities.

We provided crucial follow-up care for preselected patients from our previous visit, distributing specialized creams and medications for those suffering from burns, amputations, and external leg fixators. For many, this represents their only consistent medical treatment in an area where healthcare infrastructure has collapsed.

Blackness is not just marked by debt but constituted by it, embodying, what Denise Ferreira da Silva terms, "unpayable debt." It's also an ontological status that can never be reconciled within modernity. This debt is not just financial. The Black body, commodified and capitalized, represents a structural debt that remains open because it is essential to the formation of social and economic order. It is an endless extraction with no prospect of settlement, where Black life is continuously expended. This means no closure is possible in an antiblack world.
