Todd Blanche must not be confirmed as attorney general. The reason is simple. He cannot be the people’s lawyer because he has already chosen his client, and it is not the people.

Blanche led Donald Trump’s criminal defense team.

He has an attorney client relationship with the president.

That bond does not disappear when he puts on a Justice Department badge.

The attorney general is supposed to represent the United States, not one man’s interests.

Newly released emails show Blanche managing Trump’s retribution campaign from inside the Justice Department. He organized the effort to investigate and punish the people who once held Trump accountable. He assigned those investigations to his own deputies so he could keep tight control.

An attorney general who devotes the department’s power to settling the president’s personal scores cannot be depended upon to upholding the law.

The Senate must reject his nomination.

#BREAKING: Psaki: “Last night the Harris County Medical Examiner officially ruled the shooting of 52 year old Lorenzo Salgado Araujo by ICE officers in Houston a homicide, and today the Department of Homeland Security’s already unbelievable narrative about that shooting kept falling apart. DHS initially justified the shooting by saying that Salgado Araujo weaponized his vehicle attempting to run over an agent and the agent only used his weapon in self defense, but today, the three other men in the van disputed that account. Speaking to the Washington Post via lawyer because all three of them are currently in ICE detention, they said that Salgado Araujo did not try to ram anyone with his van. They say that there were never even any ICE agents in front of the van and that the agents shot at the van from the side of the vehicle, not the front.”

WOW! James Talarico just packed the Plano Event Center in Collin County—blew the roof off Ken Paxton's own backyard—with 4,000+ people, standing room only, and lines wrapped around the building.

This is the county that launched Paxton's career, the same county where his securities fraud mugshot was taken 15 minutes up the road, and the same county Republicans called "unflippable."

And a Democrat just brought the house down in it.

Talarico looked at that crowd and said what we're all thinking: "They're afraid of this movement. They're afraid of this crowd in Plano, Texas."

Paxton's out here calling him "Talafreakco" like a middle school bully while Talarico's selling "I'm a Talafreako" shirts and outraising every Senate campaign in Texas history.

Real men don't lie and cheat their way through life. They don't scam their own friends for a quick buck. They don't serve themselves—they serve others. Ken Paxton has escaped accountability for 4,000+ days. But accountability is coming November 3.

Democrats, pay attention. This is what it looks like when you run on corruption, not away from it. This is what it looks like when you fight in their backyard and win the crowd.
