that’s not what she’s implying at all. she’s saying we need to assign “economic value” to natural resources like clean air, water and soil and include them on corporate and financial balance sheets. the goal is to stop businesses and economies from treating these essentials as completely free, unlimited and invisible. so that the real costs of depleting or polluting them become visible and influence decisions, rather than being ignored until systems collapse.

@clearticulation It's the user facing part which looks so cool and modern. On the backend it's an enormous amount of unqualified foreigners that try to wrap their head around basic IT things.

@clearticulation Yeah, it's a CSV file that has to be uploaded to an SFTP for your transaction to go through. SFTP is not available 60% of the time and nobody knows why. George from IT has a script to verify which files were uploaded and upload the rest but George is not on-call this week.
