Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at our recent @QJEHarvard paper—a project that began in one of my PhD classes at @EconUniMannheim and evolved into a full-scale field experiment on LinkedIn.
We published our paper on local exposure to refugees (looking at attitudes and voting preferences) at @EJ_RES!
Thanks @rghidoni86, for the brief summary and excellent co-authorship, alongside @pascal_achard, Elena Cettolin and @SSuetens.
Publishing my first paper not relying on lab experiments was a long but rewarding journey: I learned a lot! I’m proud of the outcome and grateful for all the support we’ve received. Huge thanks to my co-authors and everyone who provided feedback!

💡Key findings: Residents living near refugee facilities became more open to ethnic diversity and less likely to support anti-immigration parties. Longer and more localized exposure led to positive changes in attitudes. #EconTwitter#Migration#Refugees
