@borkware any idea how to create virtual serial ports on recent MacOS? I'm writing some code to interface with a serial port and would like to create a dummy interface on the other side. socat via brew doesn't seem to create "serial" interfaces (just ttys).

Reflections on my second job. About everyone used SourceSafe. One of the engineers championed CI with CruiseControl with limited adoption. Management and senior engineers asked why you should write tests when you could be writing code. Deploys were burned to a CD. Seems crazy.

Reflections on my first full-time job. It was in a research lab at my university. CVS was petering out in favor of Subversion, but SourceSafe was the real dominant force. No one used source control anyway. Seems crazy now.

@jcieplinski regarding your fire base configuration issues in the latest Release Notes; have you looked into method swizzling? It’s a way to rewrite functions you don’t own. Originated in ObjC. I don’t know if there’s a a Swift equivalent.

@ismh totally agree with you on the cities / time zones discussion on Connected 313. I have a coworker near Krakow, Poland. The option I have to pick in World Clock is Warsaw. I have no idea if Warsaw and Krakow are in the same time zone (they are).
