@g__j The problem is that between the Ohme/Hypervolt charge rate issue, Zappi slots staying live after the EV is full, Tesla integrations trying to charge to 100% when the car is set to stop at 80%, customers are being accused of gaming when octopus were gaming themselves.

@agile_phil 2/2 Feels like Customers are getting blamed for gaming the system when you are gaming yourselves.

If issues like this and the Ohme/Hypervolt rate limit were fixed, would there be a problem to resolve?

@agile_phil 1/2 With a Zappi on IOG, if I plug in my car daily as you suggest with a 4am target, I get a slot from when I plug in to 0400 almost every time.

When the car finishes charging and the Zappi says "EV is full" 3hrs later, the cheap slot remains, when it should end.

@agile_phil 3/3 cable overnight for 6 more hours? It seems like it would be way simpler to keep the current system and keep the car and the house on the same rate, rather than this split "car can be expensive when house is cheap" mess.

@agile_phil 2/3 0100am, so the "house" is cheap, but I am drawing 7.5kW of my total 8kW demand from my house battery, what rate will that residual 0.5kW be charged at? peak or offpeak?

This introduces a new "gaming" method, charge for 6h on the intelligent charger, then plug in granny...

@agile_phil @Josh1C @sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy Unless you get two chargers, like we have. The main charger will get 6h cheap, but pay more for 2330-0530, the 2nd charger will end up with 12h cheap, as you will see it as "house usage".

If I charge overnight during the cheap rate, but I actually do it from my home battery, are you going to bill me for the kWh that have gone through my Zappi even though they didn't come from the grid?

@BongBong @niccruzpatane Damage to road is proportional to the 4th power of axle weight. That HGV over there is doing 10,000x the damage to the road.

I assume you are in favour of £300/mile road pricing for HGVs?

They bottled the PIP changes, they bottled the WFA changes, they won't touch the triple lock, labour are pathetic

@MartinSLewis @leicesterliz @Ofcom If companies cannot accept the risk of inflation causing them financial stress, they should not tie customers into long contracts. Why should the consumer bear all of the risk? In my last Virgin contract, they put my price up from £90 to £96.30 while charging new customers £50.

@riversorare @AlecStapp But the issue isn't renewables, it's that we price our electricity based on the marginal price, which is almost always gas.

Renewables are the cure not the cause.
