@elonmusk Mocking a blind person is one level of horribleness. Personally attacking someone engaged in a genuine discussion of policy is yet another. Using the power of your position in government to do either or both is an abuse of that power. We're better than this, Mr. Musk.

Journalists also face threats of lawsuits that are meritless but tie them up in expensive litigation. What I've learned talking to media lawyers is having a protective anti-SLAPP law on the books is a powerful deterrent to these lawsuits.
When Big Oil uses "Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participations" to target activists with meritless, protracted and costly litigation, they chill free speech and erode constitutional rights.
Anti-SLAPP laws are necessary to keep big business from crushing civic activism.
