Friendly reminder: colonoscopy’s are thankfully not filmed with IMAX cameras. It all happens during a refreshing nap and they even give you a lil’ juice box afterward. Despite it being among the easiest cancers to prevent, I have two friends who aren’t here anymore. But should be. Indigenous and Black communities have the highest rates of colorectal cancer in the US. And men are 1.5 times more likely to experience this than women. @CCAlliance

@meenathakur_ @CancerCanuck Over five years Stage IV, It’s a roller coaster we live on I went from a bile obstruction with jaundice to perfect liver numbers and a chemo response in a month. Needless to say I saw a big smile from my oncologist.

@acweyand I was at my four year old’s well child visit last week and they had the flu shot available. I got it for myself in office along with my daughter.

Hey @cvspharmacy my CANCER patient went to fill her pain medication prescription and the pharmacist refused to fill if bc she felt uncomfortable and then KEPT the prescription so she got readmitted to the hospital in severe pain. This is unacceptable!!!

@acweyand When I presented in December 2018 my PCP referred to a GI doctor. They thought ulcer. I had no other symptoms. By chance they did a colonoscopy and found my T4 tumor. CRC awareness month everyone please get a colonoscopy when eligible!

@NUCLEARnicole Usually the oncology fills out a PA form for it and checks the cancer box then it gets approved if under insurance and if the oncologist won’t prescribe it I’d try palliative care. If they won’t then I’d look for another oncologist
