Scan my ~/Pictures and ~/Movies folders for corrupted files. For every file check the header, try to open it, and for videos decode a few test frames. Don't change or delete anything. Give me a list of broken files with what's wrong in plain words, save the report as a text file, and tell me which ones I can restore from my backup.
I asked Claude to check all my photos and videos, and now I don’t trust my camera roll anymore...
9 files were dead. No warning, no error, nothing. They just sat there looking normal, waiting for the day I’d try to open them
So I opened Claude Code on my phone and typed one line: scan my media for corrupted files
It went through all 17,000 of them, one by one. It didn’t just look at the names. It opened every file, checked if it’s built right, tested a few frames from every video and compared everything with my backup
16,991 were fine
9 were broken:
→ a video that cuts off before the end
→ a screen recording that is literally 0 bytes
→ a scanned PDF that won’t open
→ a project archive with 4 damaged files inside
→ a RAW photo the camera saved wrong
Then it saved a full report and asked me one question: want me to restore them from your Time Machine backup?
Took a few minutes. I’d have lost those files without ever knowing they were gone
Want to check yours:
step 1 → open Claude Code on your computer
step 2 → paste the prompt from the first comment
step 3 → if it finds anything, restore it from your backup before that backup gets overwritten too
Save this. Your camera roll is not as safe as you think
When was the last time you checked if your backups actually work?
I merged GTA 5 and Minecraft with one prompt in Opus 5.5...
I used REA + Opus 5.5 to merge these two legendary bangers. And I didn’t touch a single GTA file
Here’s how it works in simple words:
→ REA looks inside GTA 5 while the game is running. It figures out how the game draws the world: the camera, the light, every object on the screen
→ Opus 5.5 takes that map and writes a bridge between the two games. Minecraft blocks, mobs and items get turned into real objects inside GTA’s world
→ Because they live inside GTA’s engine, they get GTA’s lighting, shadows and reflections for free. That’s why the fire glows on the buildings and nothing looks pasted on
→ It all loads while the game runs. Close it, and GTA is back to normal
Two games from two different worlds. Different engines, different code, different everything
One prompt made them work as one
What 2 games should I merge next?
REA is most dangerous thing on the internet right now...
It lets your AI agent reverse engineer any app, down to the binary
If you use it correctly, you can rebuild any feature you pay for, for FREE
In this article, I show you how: https://t.co/3P1FNXiXzl
The people who built Claude Code use 6 tricks that 99% of users have never heard of. One of them lets you undo anything with 2 keys...
I found them one by one, mostly by accident. Each one fixed something that annoyed me for weeks. Here they are in one place:
1 → Shift+Tab = plan mode
Claude reads your project, thinks, and writes a plan without touching a single file. You say yes, then it builds
2 → Esc Esc = time machine
Broke something? Press Esc twice, pick any checkpoint and jump back. Undo the code, the chat, or both
3 → /btw = ask on the side
Need a quick answer in the middle of a task? Type /btw and your question. It answers without adding anything to the chat. Works even while Claude is busy
4 → Subagents = extra brains
Each one gets its own clean memory. It does the messy work like tests, logs and search, then sends back a short summary. Set them up in .claude/agents/
5 → /context, /compact, /clear = keep it light
See what’s filling up the chat, shrink it, or start fresh. A lighter chat is cheaper and Claude thinks clearer
6 → Hooks = rules Claude never forgets
Your own scripts that run on their own. Block dangerous commands before they run. Clean up the code after every edit. Set it once in settings.json and it works every time
Save this. You’ll want it the next time Claude goes off track
Which one did you not know?
I gave Claude one prompt and this is what happened to my CarPlay...
My BMW screen looked the same every single day. Same 3 icons, same blue wallpaper. Last night I sat in the car in the rain and asked Claude Code one thing: can you build me my own app for this screen
I didn’t write a single line of code. Claude did it all on my laptop while I watched
A few minutes later a new app showed up on the car screen. Real menus. Real buttons. Moving graphics. Stuff BMW never put there
Pause at 0:27. That’s the real car screen, not an edit
Want to try it:
step 1 → park the car, plug in your iPhone, open your Mac
step 2 → open Claude Code and paste the prompt from the first comment
step 3 → tell it what you want on your screen. It writes the app, you just watch
Save this for your next long drive
Every week I point Claude Code at something in my life and post what happens. Follow if you want the next one
What would you put on your car screen?
Build me a simple CarPlay app for my iPhone. I want a home screen with big buttons for [your ideas]. Keep it clean and easy to tap. Walk me through every step in Xcode to run it on my phone and see it on my car screen. I'm not a developer, so explain like I'm 10.
I asked Claude Code to reflash my Tesla so the battery lasts 100 km longer...
I wanted to see if Claude could really mess with my car. So I typed in a prompt that was stuck in my head for weeks
It told me straight: it won’t touch the car’s software. That can kill your warranty and break safety stuff
But then it asked me 10 simple questions. How I drive, how I charge, what I leave on at night
It found 3 things eating my battery:
→ Sentry Mode on all night, every night
→ Cabin Overheat Protection running while I’m at work
→ Tires low on air for who knows how long
Fixed all 3 in 5 minutes. Same car, same roads, [X] km more on a full charge
The check takes 2 minutes:
step 1 → park, open Claude Code, paste the prompt from the first comment
step 2 → answer its questions about your car
step 3 → it tells you what’s eating your range and what to turn off
Save this for the next time you’re stuck at a charger
Every week I point Claude Code at something in my life and post what it finds. Follow if you want the next one
Apple put LiDAR in the iPhone 5 years ago. This guy plugged a real one into his phone and let Opus 5.5 rebuild a bridge in 3D...
drivers slow down to stare at him. a guy in a hi-vis vest walking along the highway with a weird spinning gadget and a phone, pointing it at a drain pipe like it owes him money. people think he’s lost or bored. he’s walking around with $10,000 worth of work in one hand.
Opus 5.5 by Anthropic runs the whole thing inside Claude Code. it tracks every step, lines up both laps and paints 41.7 million points into one 3D model.
the numbers off the screen:
points → 41.7 million
after lap 1 → 18.2 million
coverage → 100%
windows traced → 682 across 9 buildings
frame rate → 60 fps
cost → 121,260 tokens
the file drops out as bridge_scan.ply. open it in Blender or Unreal Engine 5 and you can walk across that bridge in a game.
2 walks, 1 phone = $10,000
Step 3: tell it who to call and how to talk.
Create a Project in Claude and paste this into the instructions:
“You can make phone calls for me with the voice tool. My contacts: barber, +1 XXX XXX XXXX. dentist, +1 XXX XXX XXXX. On every call, say you’re an AI assistant calling on behalf of [your name], ask one clear question, confirm the time and price, and send me a short summary after the call.”
Then just type “call my barber, 5 PM today.”
Claude just called my barber for me. I didn’t touch a single button...
I hate calling places. the waiting, the “hold on let me check”, the awkward “ok bye”. so I gave Claude a phone number and a voice.
this morning I typed one line: “can you call my barber and see if he has a slot today at 5 PM?”
Claude handed it to a voice agent named Isabella and replied “Done, Isabella is calling him right now.” before I put my phone down, the second phone on the table was already ringing.
what’s running:
brain → Claude Sonnet 4.6
voice → an AI agent with her own phone number
my input → one sentence
time to first ring → under a minute
dentist, car service, the restaurant that only takes bookings by phone. I just type what I need now.
Here’s how you can set it up yourself in 3 steps👇
Step 2: connect it to Claude.
In Claude go to Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector and paste the service’s MCP server address with your key. Now Claude can see a new tool that starts real phone calls. Test it by asking it to call your own number first.
Opus 5.5 + a phone on a LiDAR stick just turned a whole campus into 3D in two laps...
he straps on a backpack, clips his phone to a handheld scanner and walks around the courtyard. lap one for the building facades, lap two for the trees and lawn.
Opus 5.5 does the rest inside Claude Code: tracks where he’s walking, stitches every lap together and paints the points with real color from the camera.
what came out: points → 42.6 million
accuracy → ±1.0 cm
drift → zero
color → 4K, straight from the phone camera
file → campus.ply, ready for Blender or Unreal
cost → 93,286 tokens
pause at 0:17. the shaky phone video turns into a full building with every window, tree and parked car in place. that’s one walk, not a drone and not a survey crew.
the accuracy starts at ±7.4 cm on the first steps and ends at ±1.0 cm by the second lap.
two laps around a building, one prompt, 42 million points.
Rather build your own client? Paste this into Claude Code:
ROLE: You are a Java ME developer who builds apps for Nokia Series 40 phones.
TASK: Build two things. 1) A MIDP 2.0 / CLDC 1.1 chat app as a single .jar under 300 KB: chat screen, T9-friendly input, saved chats, 5 quick prompts. 2) A small Node.js relay server that accepts plain HTTP from the phone, adds my Anthropic API key from an env variable and calls the Claude API.
LIMITS: Screen 240x320. Keep replies under 600 characters. Never store the API key on the phone.
OUTPUT: The full source, a build script for the .jar, and step-by-step deploy instructions for the relay.
Claude + a 2007 Nokia is the most unhinged setup I’ve ever built...
My dad refused to buy a smartphone for 19 years, so I gave his old Nokia a brain.
He still carries the same silver Nokia he bought in 2007. Says touchscreens are for people with nothing better to do.
Last month he called me to read him the news over the phone. Again. So I found an unofficial Claude client built for old Series 40 phones and installed it.
Now his Nokia boots into a red Claude logo and the line “Claude in your pocket, 2007 style.”
what’s on it:
chat → typed on T9, number keys only
quick prompts → web search, weather, news, exchange rates
translate → English and Turkish in one tap
counter → 96 messages left today
His first message was “Weather in istanbul”, pressed out letter by letter. Claude searched the web and came back with 25°C high, 19°C low and rain early next week.
He calls it “the internet button”. Here’s how to do it yourself, step by step below 👇
Step 5: type like it’s 2007.
Centre key to write, T9 for words, Send. Quick prompts skip the typing: weather, news, exchange rates, translation. Keep questions short, every answer has to fit a 240x320 screen.
