@NMSenateDems have nominated their new leadership team.
@Sen_MimiStewart will continue as Senate Pro Tempore and Leo Jaramillo as Senate Democratic Caucus Chair.

However, Linda Trujillo will be the new Senate Majority Leader and @CindyNavaSpeaks the new majority Whip.
@mitchellvii Inflation builds over time. You can't "allocate" inflation to one president or another like economic growth especially in the wake of a pandemic. This post is idiotic slop.
@WallStreetMav I realize this is difficult to understand, but Trump will be president for two full years after this election. The ONE thing I'm not worried about for those two years is a return to Biden's immigration policies (regardless of who controls congress).
🧵 I am sorry to learn that North Carolina-based women's budget fashion retailer Cato Fashions is closing 120 stores because of tariffs, rising fuel prices, and weakening family budgets. 1/
Now it's personal:
"The administration's tariffs on Mexican tomato exports are making the traditional appetizer too costly for restaurants to just give away."

If they next come for free refills, we riot.
🇺🇸 AFP, LIBRE & CVA were proud to share an incredible evening with the Rio Grande Foundation.

For your weekend listening RGF sat down w/ Jonathan Williams of @ALEC_states for a conversation about his org's Rich States, Poor States report & NM's problems/potential. Then we turn our attention to the federal budget situation & solutions:

The Trump Admin has handed down federal school choice regulations. MLG claims she has been waiting for them before deciding whether to participate in the program. NM could benefit GREATLY from keeping these $$ in state as opposed to sending them elsewhere.

The computer revolution wiped out 2.8 million clerical jobs: typists, data entry keyers, file clerks, secretaries.
It also created nearly 4 million jobs in computer occupations that barely existed in 1990.

Had a great conversation w/ @bobkkob this morning. We talked electric buses, paying legislators, other ballot issues, school choice polling/rightsizing APS, the cost of taxpayer funded Ozempic & more: https://t.co/Eo3bXMPbhy
Our public school dollars should be going toward giving our kids a great education.
Skyrocketing diesel prices are putting even more pressure on school districts across New Mexico just to get kids to and from school. Our students and educators shouldn’t have to lose out because it costs more to keep the buses running.
As Governor, I’ll make sure our schools have the resources they need to keep buses running and dollars in our classrooms.

@jjinNM APS does have some electric buses. I'm not sure how they are performing. Unlike the ABQ city electric buses I do see the APS buses on the road. Still more expensive overall than diesel even with elevated prices.
@PhilWMagness This is what I keep telling people. It's not the hard-core Republicans who are going to stay home, it's the moderates and independents who will stay home or flip. They are immune to GOP scare tactics.
New Mexico: "Land of the obese welfare recipients!" Not quite Land of Enchantment (or New America), but when NM Medicaid spending on Ozempic DOUBLES in two years (2023-2025) the label fits. https://t.co/8CJcHzRbsG @bobkkob
