@DMC_Ryan Not to stir a pot but eliminating a bunch of cost (headcount) while keeping the value (IP) reads to me like they're preparing an asset sale or spinoff. I don't think track record matters as much as legal and operational friction for cutting them.

@maiab There are some products with engineered stone in their core that are wet area approved but much of what is on the market is just durable on the outside with cardboard on the inside.

@maiab Many of those LVT planks are actually MDF core and they would never recover from mild water damage like this. They just ripple permanently. They do tend to handle scratches from dogs and cats better though.

@maiab Give it a little bit of time and i think you will be surprised at how well the wood dries. I had red oak floors (yours look like white oak) and my fridge water line leaked overnight. I was despondent as I walked across the rippled edges but they were good as new in two weeks.

@lennysan Data science + ai feels like it is at the same point on the curve as coding was 18 months ago. Don't ask it to "analyze this data," prompt to classify, clean, and propose novel views. Then have it write the python.
