My message to every little girl across our nation on International Women’s Day: dream with ambition.
We are committed to lifting up women and girls everywhere because their ambitions and aspirations will change the world.
Today, to mark Ash Wednesday, Bishop Anthony Poggo and staff at the Anglican Communion Office spent time in prayer and contemplation. Bishop Anthony preached to those gathered and prayers were also offered for the Anglican Communion.
A prayer for Ash Wednesday:
God our Father,
you create us from the dust of the earth:
grant that these ashes may be for us
a sign of our penitence
and a symbol of our mortality;
for it is by your grace alone
that we receive eternal life
in Jesus Christ our Saviour.
Amen.
Today, May 5, is National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2Spirit people—sacred healers, caregivers, mothers, sisters, siblings, changemakers, and Matriarchs—our communities would not exist without them. Protect our sisters!

“What an honour it is to be recognized in this way. I was just happy to be doing the work, meeting the people and for the travel, adventures and learning about myself in the process." https://t.co/ky4THVHfPD
It was so good to pray and worship with the faithful across Anglican parishes in the @DioceseAccra this morning.
Almighty God, send us out in the power of your Spirit to live and work to your praise and glory.
