More than 2 Cr smart meters are already installed in India. Highest in Bihar and Assam.
Punjab (AAP Govt) has installed more than 13 lakh smart meters and Himachal Pradesh (Congress Govt) has also started.

As per following report, more than 13 lakh smart meters have been installed in Punjab. 69000 smart meters have been installed in February 2025 alone.
