From 14th–17th April 2026, @RwandaPolytec welcomed experts from @smar_br, a leading Brazilian technology firm in industrial process control and automation, for a specialized roadshow on Open Process Automation Standard (O-PAS) technology- a cutting-edge system transforming the future of industrial automation worldwide, serving key sectors including energy, bio-industry and education

The roadshow featured dynamic technical demonstrations, public lectures, and an intensive hands-on training and certification program that equipped 60 selected participants from @Kigali_College, @Tumba_College, @MusanzeCollege with practical skills aligned to globally recognized automation technologies.

The initiative, organized in collaboration with the @RwandaInBrazil, builds on a shared vision to position Rwanda at the forefront of advanced manufacturing. Beyond knowledge exchange, the roadshow reflects a shared commitment to strengthen industry linkages, and prepare a workforce capable of driving industrial growth and technological innovation.

Today, Rwanda Polytechnic, through the HEP TED Project and in partnership with local and international universities @Uni_Rwanda @INESRUHENGERI @uiagder as well as the Embassy of Rwanda to the Nordic Countries, participated in the ESPORT&Gaming Rally held at Petit Stade Kigali.

The event was graced by @DianeGashumba, who also awarded the competitors. It aimed at fostering hands-on skills through innovative and practical teaching approaches in digital creativity and application in ESPORT.
Rwanda Polytechnic is exploring ESPORT and games as modern educational tools, enabling the students and staff to apply their knowledge in real-life experience.
Todays activity features dynamic ESPORT competitions, games such as:

and it will be followed by structured training sessions in game design and development using accessible platforms such as Unity and Godot.
