Fight like a woman, they said.

The sanitation workers also fought for their rights. Where was your voice then, aunty ? Do sanitation workers not deserve the same dignity and respect, or is your concern reserved exclusively for the educated? Is this what you call social justice ?
I have yet to come across a single DMK cadre who is free from prejudice. The sheer level of hypocrisy on display is astonishing.

I didn’t even book an FDFS. I don’t think I’m ready to process the fact that he may never return to the silver screen again. I went for a matinee show instead. Right from the opening scenes, I became emotional, realizing that we’re going to miss seeing him on screen.
I grew up watching him. I grew up listening to his songs. I danced to his songs in almost every school and college cultural event. I memorized his songs by listening to them over and over again on my Walkman.
I collected Ninaithen Vandhai and Kadhalukku Mariyadhai stills. I wrote a letter to his office, and to my surprise, I received a photograph with his autograph in return. Those are memories I’ll cherish forever.
Whatever the future holds, the memories he gave us can never be taken away. They’re a part of who we are.
I still don’t know how to process this. But one thing is certain,
thank you for being the hero of my childhood, my teenage years, and so many beautiful memories.
