I have been selling magnetic racks and magnetic beads for several years now.
Magnetic racks are about 65% of sales.
Magnetic beads for DNA purification are only 9%.
I assume that you use the racks mainly for DNA purification.
Am I wrong? If not, is there something wrong with my beads? I would expect much more magnetic beads sales.
I would greatly appreciate to learn why you would not choose my beads. Price too high? Or too low? Too good to be true? You tested the sample of beads with NEB ladder and it didn't work? Something else?
Happy to share the peer-reviewed and updated version of our work on OrthoRep-driven evolution of aaRSs for genetic code expansion with unnatural amino acids. Congrats to @yuichi_furuhata, a true master bioengineer, on leading this excellent work! https://t.co/2iYPAg0yq8
In this work, we bring OrthoRep’s mutation rate up to 10^-4 substitutions per base, allowing us to durably hypermutate and evolve chosen genes in vivo at 1-million times the genomic mutation rate of the host yeast cell. What does this afford? https://t.co/5Cgn39jpax
ML for bio is fed all the DNA sequences of nature and makes a beautiful glowing enzyme
ML for tech is fed all the content from the internet and makes a toxic psycho chatbot

@spleonard1 Definitely don't put the entire plate including the polystyrene into a blender with some LB, homogenize, and then filter the paste through a Buchner funnel and culture the filtrate... unless...?
I'm excited to announce the release of our hardware-agnostic interface to liquid-handling robots, PyLabRobot. PyLabRobot provides a common language for communicating with different types of robots in Python.

@pdhsu Definitely agree with everyone saying it varies a lot, but just to add a concrete example: from a recent experiment I got 2.5 million reads for a 3.4 kb amplicon with the first use of an R10.4 flow cell using the LSK-112 kit
In light of the great consumables shortage of 2021, we've also completely revamped the method to recycle, sterilize and reuse all robotic tips. The current method uses ~ 5 boxes of tips per day. 6/n....
Today, we present peCHYRON, a DNA recorder that propagates an unending chain of insertions. Each link contains a randomizable 3-bp “signature” sequence that serves to record a cellular event. The result: temporally-resolved cellular event recording! 1/12 https://t.co/9CaUigKDIZ
