About time too. This hospital needs to be held to account. Why has it taken you so long to act @CareQualityComm? Many little lives could have been saved over the years in maternity units in the East Kent Hospital Trust with better senior management. Culture change long overdue!
The @CareQualityComm has placed a remarkable series of requirements on the maternity services provided by the William Harvey hospital in Ashford, run by the East Kent Hospital trust, following an inspection 1/

🧪🚨 UK bathing waters are awash with antibiotic-resistant bacteria, pesticides, and harmful chemicals, posing a risk to public health and the environment. It’s more than just E-coli.
A new study conducted by citizen scientists in collaboration with Watershed Investigations, SAS and the University of York shows our beloved bathing waters contain antibiotic-resistant genes, making life-saving meds less effective. 😳
These resistance genes, found in rivers and lakes, could lead to the development of superbugs, particularly in areas with high bacteria levels like E-coli, which were found to be up to 20 times higher than deemed safe in the US.
⚠️ The study highlights the cocktail of harmful bacteria, drugs and genetic materials, including pesticides and ‘forever chemicals’ like PFAS, which could cause long-term environmental and health impacts.
The health of our oceans, lakes, and rivers is in danger – and it’s time we demand more than just the bare minimum from regulators. 🛑 It’s time to flush out the pollutants and protect our waters.

Panorama tonight, exclusive, the supposed squeaky clean pinup of the water industry, @stwater, is nothing more than a faded, sleazy page 3 pullout, sellotaped to the walls of a dilapidated warehouse. Featuring you know who. 😊

"Thames Water will run out of cash by March without £3bn emergency funding"
Good, let them fail. Don't give them a penny. They are environmentally insolvent and therefore it shouldn't cost the public a penny to bring them under our ownership again.

I’ve decided to come back to my original Twitter account because it’s more aligned to the things I care about. So I’m back here… and before anyone says it I am still on Twitter because I’ve not updated my app yet. Anyone else not updated to X yet? #twitter#retro

One of our great traditions, the Boxing Day dip, has been cancelled in Deal because of a no swim warning due to high E. Coli levels.
The swim is a charity event which usually raises £7,000 for good causes.
Will you be donating this money instead @SouthernWater?
It's not the winning but the taking part that counts. But it's also a bit about the winning when you win. That said, it's still mostly about the taking part.
