Yesterday, a #turtle release was jointly organized with @UpforestUp at Bhikund Bridge in Uttar Pradesh. 101 turtle hatchlings - 10 brown-roofed turtles, 25 Indian tent turtles, and 66 three-striped roofed turtles were released into the #Ganga.

The Swamp deer landscape during summer months at Jhaddi Lake in Kishanpur WLS is an eye to behold. The lake holds a population of over 400, surrounded by grassland and woodland, with good density of tigers. Barasingha is the state animal of UP.

We lost another forest soldier in Simplipal on 16th night. Shri Mathy Hansdah, forester got shot by poachers.

Poachers have been identified and one accused is in custody. They are habitual offenders. Hope strict action is ensured by State govt.
