My New Year’s Resolution was to become a better musician, and also to learn music production with Logic Pro X. I’ve been slacking, though, and realize I need to put pressure on myself. To that end, I’m going to try to post on average one new piece of music a week. (I’ll be traveling this month, so this may be it until June)
Most of what I post will be original, but this first is a loose piano interpretation I call “Lost In Heaven”, based on the 1987 @thecure song “Just Like Heaven”.
@LizMair It’s a total joke that a “harbor master” whose parents support him is seen by anyone as a qualified candidate for one of 100 seats in the upper legislative chamber of a nation of 330 million people. The fact that he’s also an utter psychopath is just icing on the cake.
@thomaschattwill Maybe. But it’s not like he shook himself loose. The question of how you stop a guy who can score with a defender on him like glue still stands.
Didn’t a Ukrainian energy company pay you $600k a year to sit on its board, even though you had no experience? Didn’t a Chinese executive gift you a diamond ring and cash? Do you think your art career was completely unrelated to the name “Biden”? You made large sums of money because people thought they were buying access and political influence. Whether or not they actually got any is a different issue. That’s the very definition of being part of the “elite oligarch class”.
You play sound defense exactly as Vassell did. He was on Brunson like glue, that was just a crazy high arcing fadeaway jumper over a defenders hands. Brunson takes and makes those kind of shots way more than most guys can, that’s part of what makes him one of the ten or so best players in the league. There may have been a travel in there, I don’t know, but it’s a separate issue of how do you stop a guy who can sink extremely contested shots. It’s not like he managed to get open.
Actually I misspoke, the head to head is 232-220. I’m just talking about this season, I don’t think anything that happened years ago is all that relevant to measuring current parity. I’m not saying the Knicks necessarily played the 12 “best” consecutive games of all time, there’s probably no way to quantify that. But it has been an amazing stretch of basketball against pretty solid opponents. Anyone who claims the Knicks aren’t for real is probably just rooting against them.
@JayVillas2020@rogerk999@LevAkabas No, but they aren’t creampuffs either. The disparity between West and East is overstated. The head to head record between these conferences is 621-609.
They set this record in the *playoffs*. The vast majority of 12-game sequences ever played involve at least several games against awful teams, yet somehow nobody has ever matched this point differential. I don’t care how lucky you think the Knicks path was, you don’t make the NBA finals by beating up on the weakest teams in the league.
@Jennifer_d7@theblockspot Ewing was considered one of the greatest Knicks ever by the early ‘90s. Everyone selected for the 1992 Olympic Dream Team except for Christian Laettner was an NBA superstar.
As an American, I never heard of this person. Was I supposed to “take a knee” and proclaim that certain lives “mattered” and be allowed/encouraged to attend crowded public protests in the middle of a pandemic when nobody was allowed to do literally anything else in a group, and were we supposed to put up countless murals of her thousands of miles away, as was done across the entire anglosphere for St. George? If so, we missed the memo. Oops.
@metalbender_00@nypost Oh that answers my question, because the President was Epstein’s neighbor a quarter century ago and used to party with him nobody can talk about Hasan Piker.🤪
I’m not going to go to the mat defending Rubio, he’s just the only competent high-profile official in the Trump administration, and the only likely Republican candidate who I would be willing to cast a vote for. If Vance is the nominee, there is zero chance I will support him. I’ll see if I find the Libertarian candidate acceptable, and if not, I’ll just be leaving the Presidential line blank on my ballot again this year.
@narindertweets@metpoliceuk The two-tier policing is when third world inbred stabby-rapey types get away with anything while white Britons are arrested for tweets.
