My grandpa was a Catholic prisoner in both camps all the way to the liberation, when he filled out this form. I asked him specifically about this issue. My family still lives there, so I blurred some information out. I didn't know until after his death that he was accused of stealing by the Bolsheviks in 1946, shot, and put in a prison camp again, lol. He said no one was getting robbed, raped, or killed until the Bolsheviks showed up. Then they started arresting and disappearing anyone who questioned the narrative after the war, so everyone stopped talking about it. Now there’s laws against denying and questioning the narrative so I can’t publicly repeat what he said about this. Remove this law and let us tell our families version of our history, not what communist wrote in our text books.

In perhaps one of THE MOST embarrassing displays of TACO throughout the entire Iran War, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's threats to take action against a "major financial institution" turned out to be nothing but a TACO on the most epic of scale.

Reporting indicates that the US will be cutting off US Dollar and correspondent banking to the UAE's branch of Banque Misr, Egypt's second-largest bank.

Now that sounds sexy to say "Egypt's second-largest bank", but the United States didn't even SANCTION IT! It can still legally conduct business! The Trump Administration literally only cut of dollar clearing and correspondent banking access to a SINGLE BRANCH!

This is the clearest indication that the world can receive that there is no hope whatsoever in the United States winning the Iran War via Operation Economic Outcast.

Russia says it can now attack UK bases anywhere.

If Russia strikes both Akrotiri and Diego Garcia Airbases it would end armaments to Israel and resupply to USN fleets on the Gulf Embargo.

Russia could end two genocides, open Hormuz, and save the global economy from economic collapse and famine with zero loss of civilian lives.

BONUS: Akrotiri and Diego Garcia lie outside the territory mutually defended by the NATO Treaty, so UK could not invoke Article 5 in response to Russian strikes on its bases. Actually it couldn’t invoke Article 5 anyway as UK is clearly the aggressor and Russia has made it explicit any strikes are retaliatory and proportionate.

These seven individuals (the Wasatch County Council) will be meeting with Gov. Spencer J. Cox's office tomorrow (Friday August 28th) to directly address the threats that Steve Waldrip made to the Wasatch Back head on. And specifically, the illegal threat for quid-pro-quo B & C road funding to entitle 144 luxury lots for a single developer against the interests of Wasatch County residents, and further to direct the county lobbyist to not seek to change the developer dream bill SB258 of 2024.

How they respond will be defining for their political careers, and further it has potential to be a watershed moment for Utah politics if indeed they stand up to power and begin to demand back local control from shameless top-down bullies like Waldrip and Cox who clearly have gone too far this time.

They can serve as a very public example for other municipalities to also stand up and demand change alongside them. Unlike Waldrip's disingenuous characterization, Wasatch County has approved a higher % of units than any other Utah County, so they stand on solid ground to say enough is enough.

And most importantly to be the voice for the many voiceless Utahns that are sick of top-down bullying and planning that are crushing their local infrastructure and in turn property tax bills.

I hope they send a strong message that illegal threats and bully tactics won't be tolerated as they have sworn to represent the interests of Wasatch County citizens and not Spencer Cox nor his developer buddies, nor his donors.

Let's hope that they speak truth to power as this issue is so much bigger than Wasatch County, and this is the moment to seize back control from an out-control executive branch serving developers over the people.

The entire state of Utah will be watching this interaction, and let's all pray they stay strong and pass the test.

Power outage update
I spoke with a family member that works in the local power company .
He said that Pacificorp lost one of two main transformers that feeds southern Utah so the one remaining is heating up. They are alternating power outs to load shift the transformer and keep it cool during peak usage times so they don’t over tax the one remaining transformer and melt it down. He said power will be off for an hour and then will shift to outages in other areas until the transformer cools down.
I guess it’s like a 2 month process to get that large of a transformer replaced #soutahpowerout #powerout #southernutah
