I taught JEE physics for years. That paper breaks strong kids in three hours.

This exam is five hours of theory and five hours of lab work, and these five did close to perfect scores on it.

Let me tell you what actually happened.

The International Physics Olympiad is the world championship of school physics. It was the 56th edition. Held in Bucaramanga, Colombia, from July 5 to 12.

381 students. More than 85 countries. Every one of them the best physics student their country could find.

India sent five kids.

All five came back with gold.

Their names are Kanishk Jain from Pune. Riddhesh Anant Bendale from Indore. Rishit Garg from Dwarka in Delhi. Shresth Suraiya from Mumbai. Svarit Joshi from Ahmedabad.

We know a hundred cricketers by their nickname and not one of these boys. :)

That clean sweep put India at joint World Number One. Tied with China, Russia, Kazakhstan, South Korea and Taiwan.

Those are countries that pour serious money and national pride into science education. We are standing level with them.

Now here is what the exam actually was.

Two papers. Each five hours long.

The theory paper had three problems. One on the thermodynamics of paramagnetic cooling. One on the photoionisation of ozone. One on the dynamics of electron positron pairs.

The experimental paper was another five hours in a lab, working through heat transfer and thermodynamic processes in fluids.

That means you get given equipment you have never seen, and you have to design your own experiment, take your own readings, handle the errors, and reach a real answer.

Not multiple choice. No shortcuts. No pattern recognition. You either understand physics or you sit there for five hours.

HBCSE says the Indian students were near perfect on theory and excellent on the practical too.

Now, this was India's 27th appearance at the IPhO.

Across all those years, about 44 percent of Indian students have won gold, 41 percent silver, 10 percent bronze.

In the last ten years, every single Indian student has come home with a medal. 62 percent gold, 38 percent silver.

Not one kid has gone and come back empty handed in a decade.

Five golds in one year has happened only twice. This year, and in 2018.

So who built this.

The programme is run by HBCSE, the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education. It sits under TIFR, which sits under the Department of Atomic Energy.

They run the whole funnel. A national exam, then a national olympiad, then a brutal selection and training camp, and out of everyone in the country, five kids get on a plane.

The team was led by Professor Anwesh Mazumdar of HBCSE-TIFR and Dr Leena Joshi from St Xavier's College, Mumbai.

The scientific observers were Professor Ananda Dasgupta from IISER Kolkata and Nisha Kelkar from Gogate-Joglekar College in Ratnagiri.

Yes. Ratnagiri. A college in a small coastal town in Maharashtra.

This is public education doing something the private coaching industry could never do on its own.

The coaching industry is very good at one thing. Teaching you to solve a known problem fast.

That is what JEE and NEET reward, and I say that with love because I was part of that world.

But an olympiad paper does not have a known type. There is no shortcut chapter. There is no formula sheet that saves you. You have to sit with a problem you have never seen and think.

That is a completely different muscle. And a government funded centre has been quietly building it in Indian teenagers for 27 years.

So yes, be proud. Loudly.

HBCSE also shared that around 64 percent of India's olympiad medallists go on to do a PhD.

But only about 32 percent of medallists end up settling in India.

I do not say that to spoil the moment. These kids owe the country nothing. They earned every option they have.

But it should tell us something. We are excellent at finding this talent. We are excellent at training it. We are still not great at giving it somewhere worth staying.

Congratulations Kanishk, Riddhesh, Rishit, Shresth and Svarit. This is one of the best things an Indian did this year and most of the country will never hear about it.

I had deactivated my X account two days ago. I was not feeling elated with my daily feeding Hindus who, in general, do NOT care about their Temples and Dharma - with victory news from Court actions or about the violations of Dharma and Law by the instrumentalities of the Government and the infamous @tnhrcedept
I did not want to be in Twitter for some time.

But Yesterday and Today - Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Joseph Vijay @CMOTamilnadu and his Hon'ble Minister for the Hindu Religious Department @RameshOffcl have given me - and the Temple Worshipping Hindus in Tamil Nadu - very good news and great expectations! I activated my Twitter account to share the good news!

In the Governor's address in the Assembly yesterday - the intentions of the Chief Minister
- (1) that Temple Funds would henceforth be used only for the pious purposes of temples and
(2) the past instances of mismanagement in @tnhrcedept would be corrected
--- came out very clearly! Very positive developments !!!

As a follow up today Government has issued two G.O.s and has cancelled 46 projects of commercial wedding halls and commercial complexes using Temple lands and funds - which were announced in the previous DMK regime

Only a handful of us who took this matters to Court and struggled for the past 5 years to save the funds of Temples know what a great development this is. Incidentally - exactly one year ago on 19.06.2025 I got a massive stay order on commercial constructions using temple funds from the Hon'ble 1st Bench of Madras High Court, which the @tnhrcedept did not care to obey under DMK regime.
With deep anguish I had prayed for the welfare of our temples yesterday in Sri Koodal Azhagar Temple and in Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, Madurai - Gods have blessed us with good news. !!!

In my opinion it takes a great leader to do more and talk less. @CMOTamilnadu Shri Vijay is action oriented and we, Temple Worshipping Hindus, appreciate the positive steps taken by him.

The world sees Praggnanandhaa as a chess prodigy. They see the trophies, the headlines, the victories over Magnus Carlsen,& the enigmatic smile across the board. They didn't see the journey of this Chennai star.

I saw a middle class Tamil family deciding that a child's dream was worth every sacrifice they could make. They don't see a father working tirelessly so that tournament fees could somehow be afforded. They don't see a mother travelling endlessly with her son, carrying home cooked food across continents because every rupee mattered. Yes, even food. They don't see the thousands of lonely hours spent staring at 64 squares while other kids watched Cable TV.

What makes his story remarkable is that he wasn't even the family's 1st chess prodigy. His sister, Vaishali, was already making waves. Many younger siblings would have lived in that shadow. Instead, he quietly built a light of his own.

By 12, he had become one of the youngest Grandmasters in history. But talent alone never explains greatness. Chess at the highest level, is never merely a test of intelligence. It is a test of resilience. Nezhmetdinov, Parimarjan Negi, Sultan Khan... They were all supremely talented. Yet never made it big.

Praggs had the doggedness, when the path was strewn with thorns & pebbles, the peak was not visible. A test of whether you can keep thinking when exhausted, keep believing after defeat,& keep improving when the world isn't watching.

Then came Magnus Carlsen. For most young players, facing Magnus is like standing at the foot of Everest. Praggnanandhaa climbed anyway. He beat him. Then beat him again. And again. What initially looked like an upset slowly became the arrival of a new force.

But perhaps the most extraordinary thing about him is his temperament. In an age that rewards noise, he remains quiet. Unassuming. In a world obsessed with self promotion, he lets his moves speak. He wins without arrogance. He loses without excuses. There is a rare dignity about Praggs.

Sometimes I think about the absurdity of it all. In a universe containing billions of stars and countless worlds, on one small planet, in one corner of Chennai, a boy sat before a chessboard,& dreamt the impossible. Not because success was guaranteed. It never is. Not because the odds were favourable. It never was. But because he loved the game, his family believed in him.

That, more than any rating or title, is what makes Praggnanandhaa special. His story is a reminder that greatness rarely arrives with fanfare. It is built quietly, one sacrifice, one setback, one ordinary day at a time, until suddenly the world looks up and calls it extraordinary. Jai Hind!

The reason I am suggesting this is that his Tajak Varshaphal chart for 2026-27 has 5th lord Rahu in 5th and lagna lord Venus and 9th lord Mercury in 9th. That chart takes effect at the time above. His Tithi Pravesh chart for 2026-27 also has 5th lord Rahu in 5th.

PS: I never made such suggestions/requests in the past for anyone else. But I am 100% confident that Annamalai ji is a sincere, selfless, dharmik & highly competent leader with deep love for TN & India. I am also confident that praying for his success is highly dharmik and WILL benefit TN and India, IRRESPECTIVE of whether he leads a new party that aligns with BJP later or remains with BJP after some drama and a fortified image pleasing people of TN.

In a landmark judgment on May 22, 2026, the Delhi High Court held Google liable for trademark infringement.

The case was between Hindware and Google. The court held that, by allowing competitors of Hindware to purchase the keyword “Hindware” (a trademarked name) through Google Ads, Google enabled trademark infringement. The court said that “Hindware” is not a generic English word but a specific brand trademark. By allowing competitors to place ads on that keyword, Google is enabling competitors to divert traffic that should have legitimately gone to Hindware.

This has been a big challenge for companies, both big and small. Even today, if you search for Zerodha, you will see search results from competitors. This has been happening for well over a decade.

Although it is hard to quantify, we have lost a lot of business to this. Think about what happens. Whenever someone searches for "Zerodha", the traffic should rightfully come to Zerodha. But what often happens is that the first couple of results on Google Search are ads, leading the customer to a competitor's website. In the process, we lose business that should have come to us.

This is made worse by the fact that we do not advertise.

There is also an even more ironic thing here. A lot of brands, just to capture the traffic that should have come to them organically, end up bidding on their own keywords. Think about it. If you own a business and have a trademarked name for your business, you still have to pay Google just to hopefully make your name too expensive for your competition to run ads on it.

But now, thanks to the Delhi High Court judgment, we have the option of taking legal action whenever we come across instances of other companies squatting on our keyword.

The other brilliant part about this judgment is that it levels the playing field. And this matters even more for startups, who are already starved for resources and have the odds stacked against them. The last thing they need is for competitors to bid on their brand keywords and steal their traffic.

This judgment now opens up a route for legal recourse whenever such deceptive practices occur.

While keyword squatting is most visible in Google web results, it is an even bigger problem when it comes to app stores. Whenever someone searches for your brand, the first couple of results, both above and below your app listing, often tend to be those of your competitors. And in the case of app stores, I think the ads are even more problematic. When a user clicks on an app-store ad, they often end up installing an app. That is a much higher-commitment action than clicking on a competitor’s web search result and then just closing the page. Because the user has installed an application, the conversions, at least anecdotally, tend to be much higher.

Again, brands that do not advertise are at the receiving end of this. So I welcome this ruling and hope this changes the unfair norms we've been living by for so long.

Me : this date of 1500 BC was assigned by colonial scholars based on their Biblical belief that the world was created on 23rd October 4004 BC. & the flood occured in 2448 BC.

Me: This is the version of history created by ninteenth century European scholars & is still being thought in Indian schools

Me : Research done in the last 4 decades by noted archeologists and scientific historians has proved that The AIT theory has no basis, moreover the excavations in places like Mehrgarh & Rakingiri have proved that Vedic civilization is much older than 7000 BC.

D: Harappan civilization was advanced

Me : yes . Archeological achievements in Harappa were done by using Vedic mathematics ( Sulabhasutras )

D : explain the migration of Dravidians from Indus valley to South India ?

Me. See the collapse of the Harappan civilization was due to the 300 year drought that stuck the ancient world during 2200-1909 period . This drought resulted in the collapse of civilizations in Egypt and Mesopotamia

D: you mean to say Dravidians were not massacred by Aryans and driven south ?

Me : Definitely not. There is no proof of any kind of violence seen in any of the Harappan excavation sites. Vedic Hindus migrated out of India valley primarily because of the drying up of River Sarasvati

D: Sarasvati ? It's a myth, there was no river like that, you are cooking up stories to support your argument

Me : latest technologies like satellite mapping, radio carbon dating, drilling along the path of Saraswati have proved the existence of the mighty Sarasvati, all our scriptures have reference to Sarasvati, dozens of Harappa type sites have been excavated along the course of Saraswati

D: why did it dry up ?

Me : there could have been a major earthquake, mountains could have crashed and blocked the flow of the river and diverted it's course.

D: when did it dry up ?

Me : Vedic Saraswati had begun to dry up before 3000 BC, and dried up completely in 1900 BC. This proves beyond doubt that drying up of Saraswati made the Harappan people to migrate

D: Migrate ?

Me : yes . One group moved North towards Ukraine, another group moved towards persia, one group moved towards Kashmir, another group moved East towards the Gangetic plains, and one group moved south , Vedic Dravidians each group was led by a Rishi , the southern migration was led by Sage Agastya

D: interesting

Me : the so called Aryan - Dravidian conflicts are mere myths propagated by Christian missionaries. In Africa they created a divide between Hutus & Tutsis . They made out the Hutus to be a superior race who subjugated the weaker Tutsis. This narrative led to the death of millions of Rawandans, direct consequence of colonial mischief.
