We recently reported on astroturf activities on Twitter. Since then, we have been unable to promote our hardcore evidence-based journalism

@elonmusk this seems incompatible with your philosophy and we fear manipulations

Without evidence, we fear that these same bots have influenced Twitter's algorithms and/or lawyers representing the subjects of our cases have lobbied Twitter or sent legal letters resulting in suppression

Every case we present is based on publicly-verifiable facts that we share. They are not opinion pieces. However they upset powerful players

For example, we were the first outlet to draw attention to serious questions about Sam Bankman-Fried, in June 2022 – while the mainstream press, for months after, continued lauding him as the "J.P. Morgan of Crypto"

Since then, other cases have drawn attention to, for example, the secret weaponization and subversion of the US legal system by a crypto player, which case is now receiving outside validation in the courts

Our latest case tracks – in one of the most sophisticated blockchain transaction analysis exercises ever performed – North Korean assets being deposited en masse into a crypto bridge pool in a laundering operation, placing retail investors at risk, and helping to fund rogue nuclear weapons

We have many new cases in the pipeline, of similar and greater magnitude, which involved painstaking work to produce. The public deserves to see these cases, so they can evaluate the evidence for themselves

Our completely fact-based cases are not widely covered across crypto media, because they upset powerful financial interests. Twitter acts as a haven of free speech for us

Twitter allows us to get the information out by promoting tweets. However, you will notice that we have not been able to promote Crypto Leaks case #4-6

Currently we are pausing the release of further cases until we can find a way to increase distribution so that people can decide for themselves

Yet the topics we cover are very important and pertinent, and the world deserves to know about them. Again, every case is based on hard evidence – such as "spy video," or verifiable data such as references to blockchain transactions

It would be great to get this sorted out, and restart sharing evidence that gives the world critical insights into what happens behind the scenes in the crypto industry

Lastly, you will notice that the subjects of our cases never address the hard evidence that our cases present. In fact, their standard tactic is just to ignore our cases, make misleading ad hominem attacks against us when pressed, and wait for things to blow over

Without the distribution Twitter provides, ignoring verifiable evidence regarding extremely serious issues becomes a viable strategy, and this is exactly what has been happening

We feel, like you, that Twitter should be a digital global town hall. Within this space it should be possible for investigative journalism projects to promote their work as they establish their brand

We sincerely wish to recommence bringing our evidence to the world using promoted tweets, and alternatively if that is not possible, to receive policy guidelines so that we can at least understand the problem
