🛣️Ejipura to Agara Lake Signal: IRR to ORR Link Road - A Promise Delivered!

The 2015 master plan envisioned a road connecting East Bengaluru with ORR and HSR via Ejipura signal and Agara Lake junction.

Our previous Congress government (2013-2018) allocated ₹30 crore for this project. However, due to incomplete defence land handover, construction couldn't begin.

Later, during the BJP's "Double Engine government" tenure, the allocated funds were diverted to another constituency.

As the BTM constituency representative, I pledged to develop this crucial road. I'm happy to report significant progress.

Teams from Defence and BBMP have conducted a joint survey for a link road extending from Ibbalur to Lower Agaram Road, passing through Ejipura junction (even longer than originally planned).

With active cooperation from Defence authorities and instructions to BBMP to expedite the process, we expect BBMP to initiate the tendering stage soon.

This project will be a boon for citizens of East and South-East Bengaluru, significantly improving connectivity upon completion.

🔹 Ejipura to Agara Lake Signal IRR to ORR Linking Road 🔹

In the 2015 master plan, a road from Ejipura Signal to Agara Lake Junction was envisaged to facilitate connectivity between East Bengaluru and ORR, HSR.

During our government's tenure, a fund of ₹30 crore was earmarked for this road. However, due to the non-completion of the handover of defense land, our government could not take up this project.

Interactions have been held on multiple occasions with the Defense Ministry for land handover. The Central government had also agreed in principle to hand over the land required to the BBMP subject to receiving compensatory land in exchange. However, to date, the actual handover has not happened.

Further, a fund of ₹30 crores which was allocated for the development of this road was diverted by the earlier 'Double Engine Government' to another constituency during the run-up to the recently concluded assembly election.

Also, during their tenure, there was no inclination or interest shown in taking up this road project.

Our State government stands ready to develop this road provided the Central government facilitates the handover of defense land to BBMP.
