Miss Lauren Amy Doherty BEM.
For Services to Education.
The Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Mrs Johanna Ropner, Her Majesty The Queen’s representative in the County, today presented Lauren with her British Empire Medal.

Laurens message is not just about road safety, it’s about personal resilience too. From Primary School Children & Sixth Formers to Companies who are looking for a speaker for Staff Development; the message is relevant and there is a presentation to suit all age groups…
Our diary is now open if you would like to book a Road Safety Talk for your school or club.
There’s no charge to either deliver a presentation locally in person or via Zoom/Teams on a national level.
Over 300 pupils sat intently listening to Lauren share her story followed by the School Council chatting to Pete afterwards about what Road Safety and their School means to them.
Thankyou to everyone who welcomed us. It was lovely to meet you all 😊

Huge thanks to Pete Edgerton from @your_harrogate for joining us at Bilton Grange Primary School this afternoon as part of the work we are doing during @Brakecharity National Road Safety Week…
We will always be grateful for your support, enthusiasm and passion for road safety Tony and thankyou very much for all you have done for us.
We’d say go and put your feet up now, but we are sure you’ll still be keeping busy in your retirement! x
Wishing Group Manager Tony Peel @SM_Sierra12 from @NorthYorksFire a very Happy Retirement! 🍾🥂 🚒
Tony has always been a huge supporter of the work we do here at @roadsafetytalks and we have undertaken many road safety presentations together over the years…
17 years ago tonight I was out with my Friends.
Laughing. Joking. Drinking. Enjoying life.
No idea at all that in a few hours time my entire world would change. Forever.
Lovely to put a face to a name today and virtually meet @AmyItv this afternoon.
We look forward to working with you in the future Amy!

As we all live locally to each other here in North Yorkshire, it was our pleasure to invite him to the Road Safety Talks office.
Thankyou once again Pete for making this opportunity happen for Lauren.
The sky is the limit now…✈️
A lovely afternoon introducing Lauren to Pete Troup, Nominated Person Crew Training at @TUIUK
Pete was responsible for arranging our recent visit to East Midlands Airport, but was at the graduation ceremony for the Company’s Cadet Pilots that day…
They say you shouldn’t look back because you’re not going that way, but sometimes it’s good to remember where you started.
Happy 9th Anniversary Road Safety Talks. It’s been quite a journey x 🥲
Back to where it all started 9 years ago today at Dacre Braithwaite School, where 10 pupils (including Rebecca’s daughter) sat in front of us as we shared Lauren’s story then waited in anticipation to see what their reaction would be… 🤔
The rest as they say is history…
A huge thankyou to you all for inviting us back to join you again this year & as always for such a warm Dacre B welcome. We always love our visits to your School.
Thanks so much to you all for your support over the years, we love being part of the work you do and socialising with you all too! x 🍾🥂

More memories from the last 9 years coming through…
There are specialist law firms & then there are specialist law firms who do so much more than law, they empower people to rebuild their lives after injury and that’s what @CFGmorethanlaw do…
