Drone footage from the Enduring Security campaign shows the apprehension of an ISIS cell member attempting to escape within Al-Hol camp. The video captures the individual trying to evade a patrol unit by hiding in a tent before ultimately being detained by security forces. @SDF_Syria
@jdthompson910 They Army has its place, just not a linchpin. Not right now, at least. Would it be important in a conflict? Of course. But the army needs to grow up and join the mid-21st century instead of trying to fight previous wars before it can become relevant here.
@jdthompson910 Probably, but that's because their countries don't have large navies, for obvious reasons.
There's an argument that our approach to the indopacific is wrong and based on WWII history and service rivalry, but as it stands the army is not the linchpin.
Man, they sure are using machine guns and barbed wire a bunch in this japanese-russian war. Wonder if there's a lesson to learn? Nah, we'll keep our Napoleon methods.

Watching towering storms brew in central Africa. Rock crawling in SUVs in West African jungles. Walking among thousands of herders in the desert of Niger. Syrian sunsets. Manila, Tokyo, Ulanbataar. Never in my wildest imagination would I have guessed the adventures I've had.

Fat Bear Week is coming! 🐻 Yes, you heard correctly—#FatBearWeek, a time when we collectively celebrate the corpulent charms of our Ursidae friends, kicks off October 2-8.
Glad to have participated in the @INDOPACOM Chiefs of Defence Conference for the third time in a row.
Security is global, not local. That is why #NATO is stepping up its cooperation with Partners in the #IndoPacific.
