Survivor of childhood sexual abuse! Looking to network with more survivors!! We need global network to help eliminate the epidemic of childhood sexual abuse!
Just a reminder that sex trafficking is not a right or left issue, it is a human issue that everyone can be united in fighting.
In a time of great division, this is one thing we can (and need to) all agree on. 🤝
So let me get this straight: first, the "honourable" Stephen Harper endorsed Pierre Poilievre's 'leadership", and now his IDU just endorsed Donald Trump's "leadership" . Don't tell me Pierre's conservative "common sense" is any different than Donald's MAGA "common sense".
NEW: Susan Holt has shattered a 240-year-old glass ceiling in New Brunswick. She'll be sworn in as premier tomorrow, becoming the first woman to hold the job in the province. Here's what she and political watchers from across Canada have to say on the moment.
Did you know that P*rnhub was forced to take down 91% of the entire website because it was infested with real sexual crime including child abuse, rape and trafficking?
Now it’s time for the last 9% because it’s still a crime scene.
SHUT. IT. DOWN.
I didn't put my hand up to be raped as a child...no child does, EVER!
At 23 years old, I thought 12 sessions of therapy would "cure me" - cure me of what, I didn't know, but I thought it would be a good thing to do, everyone told me therapy would be a good thing to do and it would be the thing to make me feel better about myself - maybe lift me out of the darkness of my biological Father abandoning me, and into a place of calm and stability...but what most people didn't know back then was that I had also been sexually abused for nearly 7 years as a child, a conversation in itself that isn't an easy unravel, and certainly not in 12 'sessions', something I learnt over the next 20 years.
My intense therapy sessions have been over many years. They have been diverse and varied, which for me worked well and helped me grow and become more solid, stronger and rounded with my approach to living and life. I was written off as a failure by many...but it was never me who was the failure.
Victims don't need to be cured - they need to find a way to exist because of what has been done to them by the vile behaviours of the paedophiles....I didn't put my hand up to be treated this way, no child does...it is paedophiles who make those decisions, they choose the child they want, their next victim (because they often have more than one!) and it could be your child next -> hopefully not(!) -> it is why I founded @Project9010 - it feels important to do this and be here....I campaign for all the children abused, being abused and for the young girl in the picture, me - she deserved better.

I had an interesting convo this week with someone believing paedophilia is a sexuality! To be clear on this, I don't, I do not align, and never will believe paedophilia is a sexuality! Anyone thinking this way is simply part of the problem IMO. These people open dangerous doors putting more children at risk of being raped; not something I am prepared to ever do - I focus on education, and by doing so, offering protection, so children understand early how they can protect themselves from paedophiles...
End.
Stephen Matthews used giving his dog a bathroom break as a ruse to get his dates to his house. He then drugged, r*ped, and filmed his victims to blackmail later. But his parents and him would like you to know he's a good person and just had a slip in judgement. 😒
15 years for 40 years of raping children - one as young as 2 years old?!?!? WTAF. Judge Lord Summers doesn't know what he is saying, because if he did he would know 'the child rapist blighted the child's life the day he raped her'!

Such a brave girl, my heart was in my mouth reading this article...bless you Zanna...awful! What a truly ugly sentence(!) that does NOT reflect the long term damage of what this depraved human (if you can call him that) has done...

If it was as simple as paedophiles being 'of one type' of person, then many children would be better protected. However, from where I stand and what I see, child abusers are hidden in plain sight - and EVERYWHERE, and that is my focus around awareness and protection - so no corner gets missed, and no child goes unprotected - it is no more complicated than that for me @Project9010
Grab a cuppa ☕️
Being abused as a child is not something you just “GET OVER” with a nice cup of tea, it is not something that can be 'brushed' under the rug - because being abused as a child is effectively a sentence for the rest of your life.
What does that ‘sentence’ mean?
It often means you will likely need to use coping mechanisms to manage your trauma; for me it was managing CPTSD, understanding Maladaptive Dreaming, Dissociation, Anxiety, Delayed onset of maturity…various eating disorders, alcohol and drug addictions - I could go on...everything set up for me to cope with the trauma responses of being abused by selfish vile predators...leading to me struggling to deal with life, future relationships, struggling to deal with the world. FULL STOP. I could go on. Being raped as a child is NOT something you just get over. And more importantly, what child should be managing all of this, when they should be enjoying their friends, and fun times?
When we see high profile cases in the news, very little focus is placed on the victim now handcuffed with the inevitable life sentence handed down by their abuser...it’s constant.
In order to help victims then the SPOTLIGHT of these conversations must be turned to the victim, not in terms of publicity - but in terms of help, support and for the general public at large to have a better understanding of trauma; which in turn will protect children longer term. This should be coupled with education and protection of children from primary school onwards, with carefully considered programmes designed to help children understand what is right/wrong, how to trust and how to identify appropriate behaviours, and what to do if needed - it is why I founded my own charity @Project9010, because it feels like the right thing to do.....
I might not always get it right, I might not always say the right things....but I do know that children and the future generations to follow can only enjoy better lives because of the things I say that people don't think are right.....IMO anyway...and I won't stop.
My work continues.
