Since retaking office in January 2025, Trump’s executive branch has acquired stock or other ownership interest in dozens of U.S. companies, from $400 million in mining company MP Materials to $1 billion in defense contractor L3Harris/Missile Solutions to $8.9 billion in Intel, making the government the chipmaker’s third-largest shareholder. In all, according to a recent Cato Institute analysis, the U.S. government is now part-owner of 30 companies, with no end to the practice in sight.

Why did he intentionally not tell the court that I have repeatedly told him that I am awaiting trial and thus will be invoking my fifth amendment privilege to any questions involving my coverage of the Read case? Why did he leave out the fact that my lawyer contacted and told him this before I told him that several times? Why does he want to make me drive to Boston and waste everyone’s time if he knows I’m invoking the 5th? Why didn’t he tell the court that I gave him a list of close to a dozen days I was free from family obligations to attend the deposition where I would be showing up and invoking the 5th? Why didn’t he mention that I offered to appear via zoom on July 30? Why didn’t he mention that he told me there would be a depo on August 6, and that I immediately emailed back and asked if he could do the 7th, and that he ignored that email and an hour later he served me with a subpoena for the 17th? Why didn’t he return the email I sent him after that asking him if he could do the depo on August 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, all of which are before the August 17 deadline? Why is he representing to the court that I am unresponsive and not actively working with him to find a date that works for both us? Most importantly, why is he so interested in speaking with someone who wasn’t in Canton the night his clients family member was beaten to death inside Brian Alberts house? Why isn’t he suing the people who the FBI and DOJ believe are responsible for killing OJO? Why isn’t he suing the State or Canton Police who conducted the shoddy, incomplete, and unprofessional investigation into OJO murder that directly resulted in an acquittal? What false hope or reassurances has he given to the O’Keefe family, who will once again be set up for disappointment after being lied to by the DA office? Is he charging them for all this nonsense, which has zero chance of success unless someone caves and their insurance carrier offers a settlement (which doesn’t appear to be happening)?

1) If it was fascism, then Trump's the fascist as Trump oversaw the response to Covid for the first year of the pandemic, no matter how much Republicans want to pretend he wasn't president in 2020.

2) Neither Trump in 2020 nor Biden from 2021 onwards arrested journalists, seized their devices, banned them from reporting, detained foreign students for speech, or threatened opposing party members with execution.
