If you have a fear of public speaking this book may be of help. Not about perfection but being an authentic public speaker. See this link: https://t.co/DJ70G7R3SI
@tomgoom I have found increasing ankle DF seems to be effective in reducing PHP symptoms. Maybe compensatory STJ pronation with resultant traction on plantar fascia/enthesis due to decreased ankle DF is a factor to consider. Minimal evidence related to ankle/STJ biomechanics and PHP.
@DavidDack Nope, rest days are as important as running days. I have been running for over 40 years and would not have been able to do this if I ran every day. Many runners overtrain, get injured due to increased load and start races feeling tired. Less is more, consistency is key.
In 2021, Dr Rob Grieve and Dr Stephen Hunt, Alison McKay and Dr Julie Woodley published research on student fears of public speaking in HE in the Journal of Further and Higher Education (JFHE). The research is now the most read paper of all time in JFHE ๐ฅณ

@hjluks I have a partial meniscal tear in my right medial meniscus and completed a half marathon yesterday in my sixties with no symptoms. Only by chance that this was picked up by MRI when investigating a pes anserine bursitis few years back. Activity benefits, far outweigh inactivity!
@tomgoom Related to a higher heel toe drop in running shoes, I see there is a recent published protocol for a RCT to investigate the efficacy of heel lifts for mid portion Achilles tendinopathy (LIFT Trial) https://t.co/Wh8rWFIhFq
Look forward to seeing the results.
Really enjoyed giving my workshop and sharing ideas on Authentic Public Speaking at the recent @stammer STAMMAfest at Nottingham Trent University in August. Positive interaction and response from the participants. Photo: Richard Seals
Art and Health. Preparing a painting and two linocut prints as part of the Bath Society of Artists exhibition for Art at the Heart @artatruh display at the RUH @RUHBath hospital. Great to create and provide access to art for patients, visitors and staff in our hospitals/NHS.
We continue to be pleasantly surprised at the increasing number of downloads/reads of our paper on student fears of oral presentations. Is the most read paper of all time in Journal of Further and Higher Education @tandfonline

@tomgoom Great Infographic. Is there any data on Vastus Medialis/VMO? Would also be interesting to get some data on intrinsic foot muscles during running, although this might be difficult to obtain.
