@metpoliceuk absolutely woeful. Went to Sutton police with an exact gps location of my stolen phone and they said “if it’s that easy then go get it yourself” I did get it myself; hope I never need the police for something life or death. Absolutely useless.
Genuinely, £20 per month to customize my feed, disable features, and make Facebook and instagram work for me? I’ll sign up immediately. I know that engagement drives ad revenue but some engagement from a premium user is better than non from a churned user.
Hey @Meta I (as I’m sure millions of others) would happily pay a monthly subscription service for Facebook and Instagram if it meant I could disable certain features. Let me disable reels, content from people I don’t follow, and infinite scrolling and I’ll pay for it.
The alternative is that I will end up deleting my accounts to protect my mental health. You could increase profit and decrease churn in one go by just offering less features.
Not that he wasn’t great, he was an excellent magician, but everyone onboard is an adult and just wants to have some drinks and chill out. Putting on a magician at 9pm feels like children’s entertainment. 100% sure the bar is losing out on sales because this makes people leave
Last week a taxi in the Algarve tried to falsely charge me 20eur for a 5eur trip, i refused to pay and he got nothing. Today a driver quoted me 5eur and when the meter said 6, he said “5 is fine, don’t worry” so I gave him 20. Make being a good person pay.
Im sure this is cause rather than effect. The effect is a polarised world and political division, where people are being convinced that “they” are out to get “us” by the phones they hold in their hands.
I’ve been trying to figure out why the world feels so much darker since COVID, and honestly, I think it’s social media. I don’t remember the constant stream of content specifically designed to rile people up and monetize anger prior to 2020. What once connected us, now divides.
Tabloid newspapers have been doing it since forever but I genuinely think that it’s only in the last 5 years or so that social media has gotten onboard. My feeds are full with posts from accounts I don’t even follow spreading anger and hate.
I’m never shocked by people turning into monsters. Life is shit, and I can see why it made you selfish. Just don’t be that person. Millions have it worse, and shitting on your neighbours won’t improve your situation. Be kind.
Most of the time, being a good person will not only not get you further, it was actively hold you back. But, it’s worth it. I’d rather obtain 80% of possible success whilst helping others, than 100% whilst treading on them all. Be kind.
I own two v8s, I’m a petrolhead and love the sound and feel of a roaring engine. However, I will never understand ICE car owners that get irritated by EVs. They’re clearly the future and for most, a better option. You can like one thing without hating the alternative, too.
@BrittanyFerries during the quiz everyone was singing and desperate to dance but the song ended after 10 seconds and you killed the atmosphere with a game. Just play the popular songs with party lights and let people dance. You’ll make more money.
Another ferry crossing and it’s obvious that @BrittanyFerries are making the mistake as @POferries . The entertainment is overthought and was better 10 years ago. A fun band followed by a DJ playing fun music until close will increase satisfaction and sales overnight.
.. they have now retired that programme and replaced it with something that’s basically worthless. Time to change to a platform with actually decent customer service. Any recommendations? Are @bookingcom better?
I’ve used @hotelsdotcom for a long time and was a gold member for over 5 years, purely due to their rewards programme. I always thought their customer service was terrible (they even refused to refund me for a closed hotel once) but the rewards programme was worth it….
ONE @rcf_audio cabinet is filling this entire outdoor space with warmer, fuller, clearer sound than some venues with entire arrays manage. I stand by RCF being the absolute best you can buy when it comes to pro audio today.
