@wizards_magic The fix should take at most an afternoon or probably less than an hour and simply involves common sense batching of token generation and triggers. Nothing crazy. C'mon!
@wizards_magic Doubling Season is still utterly broken on Arena, or prone to literally crashing the entire server if you so much as blink (let alone blinking permanents..) as are most token decks. Will you ever attempt to properly support this aspect of play/deckbuilding?
Scrolling back to find something before this place does a disappear... I realise I pretty much gaslit myself into thinking all I did was post crap for the last two years. Actually - even with my perennial gripes - it weren't half bad. Gonna miss this place. And y'all.
To all those who held onto that imperfect perfect thing that Twitter was, at its best, for so long: the joy of conversation and ad-hoc community - allow yourself to be heartbroken.
People so desperate to wank off about anything but the ugly truth - just as here in the UK and France and more or less the world over in this moment, half of all people do not give a shit about anyone who is marginally different from them.
Apparently there's whole swathes of the population who never cook by the clock but judge it by eye/smell/taste.. not sure if their culinary skills or feats of memory are more impressive! This is probably why I like meat 'burnt to a crisp'.. there is comfort in how charred it is!
ND/fishbrain thing: start cooking, think about setting timer, five minutes later remember to set timer, fifteen minutes later which feels like two minutes later think 'I hope I remembered to set the timer' (I did, yay).
Anyway despite this timers are god tier stress relievers for me (so long as their alarms and button sounds can be silenced) I have a bunch and just use them to keep track of tasks, so I don't forget or spend too much time on them (like writing tweets about timers).
@BrotherHawkins Run the computer at the speed its hardware is designed for! (aka normal speed) It was always on by default. In theory you could use it to power down for compatibility with very old games but mostly nobody ever pressed it.
@ousaimodni You're right. LiS felt bold and queer. It's not just 'between the lines' it's right out front. But when it comes to LiS I feel some people just played a completely different game, they didn't pick up on half of what was being put down. Which is fine - it reached who it needed to.
For me this story began and ended with the first game. Max and Chloe walk off into the sunset together. They endure. Forever. The rest is neither here nor there. As much as we hoped for more honestly sometimes these things are best left untold. And never, ever give away your IP.
Sequel to beloved queer game Life is Strange made by a studio who find the idea of lesbian soulmates so icky that they have to erase their existence. Utterly heartless and cynical - at best (biting my tongue as much as possible).
@keirsgotaplan Some maybe but do you think that growth outstrips the growth in awareness? Would you even be aware of those conditions if it weren't for social media or the internet in general? Many of them were essentially invisible to the wider public pre-internet.
@johnharris1969 Typical smallminded response to diversity is to fantasise about how giving aid to 'others' impinges on themselves rather than how lifting different groups up benefits them and everyone else n times over. Same sad narrative oft repeated and prejudicial selfish people buy into it.
@SillyGoober195@ADHDForReal And they wonder why we often just say nothing at all. Taking too long is also an issue! Often I spend so long deciphering what someone said, and then how I am meant to reply to it, that they assume I am not listening or don't care. And now how to explain that :/ Tis a muddle.
