@AdamRackis I got this with Opus 4.8 too. The new models are trying to imitate and reveal their “thought processes” to make it look like they can actually think out loud. It’s really different.
Haven’t seen it as hilariously weird as your example yet though.
@aarondfrancis It's honestly worse outside of our industry. I think people in our industry are often a bit blinded to how opposed the general public is to LLMs and AI usage across the board.
Coders surprisingly are the most welcoming, because it's been the most useful to us so far, I think.
@zeeg AI was already showing us this, but it's remarkable how much of the JavaScript world only worked *incidentally* rather than intentionally due to robust processes.
People were completely blind to the architectural impacts and risks associated with updating dependency versions.
