“Empowering Women through Innovative Approaches to Social Protection; a Prerequisite for Inclusive and Sustainable Development” highlights women's continued struggles in accessing social protection, #legal_identity, and essential services.
A strong Civil Registration and Vital Statistics ( #CRVS) system ensures women’s rights to inheritance, healthcare, education, and social benefits.
Birth, marriage, and death registrations are key to securing these rights, especially for women in rural areas.
For single mothers and women entrepreneurs, legal identity documents like National IDs are critical for accessing financial services like the Uganda Women Entrepreneurship Program (UWEP) and Uganda Growth Fund (GROW), which can change lives with funding up to UGX 200 million.
Yet, Uganda’s CRVS system faces challenges of underfunding and inefficiencies. To drive true empowerment, the CRVS system must improve to provide gender-disaggregated data that informs inclusive policies.
As Uganda prepares for the #2026_elections and continues to tackle issues like #gender_based_violence, let’s make this year’s theme a reality for all women and girls, harnessing digital technology and #legal_reforms for lasting change.

#HEPSUGANDAat25, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in Uganda and around the globe. We reaffirm our commitment to building a society where all #health and #socioeconomic rights are fully realized.
Our vision includes ensuring that women have equal access to quality healthcare, economic opportunities, and the rights they deserve to live empowered, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
By recognizing and addressing the specific challenges women face regarding health and socio-economic equality, we can create a more just and inclusive world.
Happy Women’s Day to you all.

❤True love is forever, and so should your legal protections! An unregistered marriage can lead to property, custody & inheritance disputes. This Valentine’s, make it official. File your union. #InclusiveIdentityUG@URSBHQ@MBKeno

50.5% of Uganda’s population are children, yet most lack birth certificates. Without CRVS reform, they risk being invisible, denied school, healthcare & legal rights. Why are we failing them? #ActNow#InclusiveIdentityUG

In Uganda, young people aged 18-30 comprise 23.5% of the population, forming the second-largest demographic group.
However, without essential documents like national IDs, birth certificates, or marriage certificates, many face significant barriers to:
#education, #employment, #healthcare, and #financial_services.
This lack of access restricts opportunities, hampers growth, and puts their dreams on hold.
Let’s advocate for reform of the #CRVS system that ensures no youth is left behind.
