We always invite our local MP & councillors to our @edencommunities Big Lunch Street Party, good to see our new Green Councillor and bi-election councillor candidate come along and join us.
@boisdulac_@BellisPierre@Se_Railway To be fare, you can't run a railway line and plan for the off chance of lovely hot weather on a BH weekend. Wonder if the Victoria trains were any different.
@GreenJennyJones Perhaps you might point the Green Party press unit to your GLA report on residential moorings re current Polanski situation. IWA are trying to raise the issue of lack of residential moorings inside government (and inability pay council tax) and could assist.
@pdoyle1974@ArthurSwindel@maceKungfu@TimesRadio As a Lewisham resident. I thought the borough was run reasonably well, but with 100% of councillors they got lazy, especially with no formal opposition to challenge them. Directly elected Mayor has most of the power and who he gets to advise him will be crucial.
@TheMadBumble@TimesRadio Most of the items you list aren't that bad in Lewisham. Councillors are responsible for their local government pension fund (£2+ billion investments) although now pooled with other London Councils.
