This might not be big in the larger scheme of things but is a huge milestone for us.

Quick PSA for Shopify app teams - looks like Shopify is silently blocking or preventing reviews from being posted on the App Store.

Reviews that don’t clear the algorithmic filters were previously marked as ‘archived’ and you’d get an email about it.

Now, these reviews are simply hidden away and there isn’t any email update either.

So the merchant posts their review but there’s no way for app teams to know about it and it doesn’t appear on the listing as well

We’ve had ~4 such cases in the last couple of weeks.

Launch alert!

We've been building for brands on Shopify for the last ~5 years and we're now launching our third app (!!)

5 years ago, we wondered if anyone would even pay us $10 for the softwares we build and today we're launching app number 3 with an eye on a potential 4th app later this year.

A huge shoutout to the early brands who trusted us 5 years ago - on the back of whom we've managed to bootstrap into a 30+ member team.

Wishlist Monk, our newest app, has a simple focus - address cart abandonments by adding an intermediate 'add to wishlist' step in the process and then using this proprietary first-party data to re-target customers via SMS, email, and marketing ads.

It's our strongest MVP yet and we’re already working on adding AI to help brands recover more carts, personalize outreach, and drive higher conversion from wishlist users (more on this soon). Our goal is to make the app a truly AI-native wishlist solution within the next couple of months.

Shopify is reducing metafield size by 99%.

This is drastic change. Our setup relies heavily on the flexibility of the metafield system and this reduction is honestly making us less reliant on Shopify. Many processes and flows will be migrated away from Shopify as a result.

It's such a hassle to develop around super strict limits that it becomes easier to choose something else.

@tobi @liam_at_shopify Please reconsider this. I would much rather being charged more if that is part of the issue.

Monk has grown from just 3 to 25 team members over the last 4 years, completely remote + bootstrapped + profitable and we're now looking to add more people to the team!

📣 Hello everyone!
I want to make a very important and bittersweet announcement.

After long and careful consideration, I have decided to step down as a The PFC Club Coach. It was a big change for me but an extremely important one for my personal growth

From the Inception of Team Chirag to Now PFC, I have had a very enriching journey while me and the company grew together.

I learnt a lot from everyone who worked in PFC and still work, and I will continue to keep learning as I step aside for my Solo journey.

But as we say, changes are uncomfortable but necessary for better growth.

I will always be indebted to Chirag for mentoring me and giving me this opportunity to step up in this game.

But I have to Thank your support, and gratitude for the support of all my mentees who continue training with me. You gave me the confidence to fly and the trust to transform many lives as a Fitness and Sports Nutrition Coach.

What changes in future?

Many exciting changes to come as I work on my own personal brand. Many new and top notch people to work with as a team. Will keep you all posted.
