Thirty-four officers and Diplomats from Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the Embassy yesterday and interacted with CdA Dr @surendrathapaji and Embassy officials. They were briefed on the Mission’s role and functions, its contribution to advancing Nepal-India relations, and its services to Nepali citizens in India.

Ambassador @gsbhandaari called on the Acting Speaker of the Bangladesh Parliament, H. E. Barrister Kaiser Kamal, this morning.

The two sides exchanged views on further strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. They also discussed enhancing collaboration through the parliamentary friendship groups and explored the possibility of exchanging parliamentary visits.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of precious lives, injuries to many people and damage to properties caused by the devastating earthquake that struck Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan.

On behalf of the Government and people of Nepal as well as on my own, I extend heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Prime Minister @takaichi_sanae , the bereaved family members and all those affected by the disaster. I wish an early recovery of the injured.

We stand firmly in solidarity by the Government and people of Japan at this hour of profound grief.
