Coming up next, we’ll feature @ESPNDari to explain why he has Alabama behind Auburn in his SEC Power Rankings.

I’ve been saying this for years: John McDaid needs to be fired as the SEC’s Coordinator of Officiating.
When the officiating is this consistently inconsistent, eventually you have to stop blaming the referees and start blaming the guy in charge of them.
He had one job, and he did it to perfection. Auburn was one win from being in the tournament, and Big Chuck denied them exactly that. We will NEVER forget you 14.
Alabama residents hoping for snow every winter 🤝Auburn fans hoping for a successful football season.
Every year it’s “THIS is the year.”
And every year… it’s 55 degrees and 6–6. 🤣

Just five years ago today @AlabamaMBB went into Auburn Arena and emerged with its first victory on the Plains since 2015 with a 94-90 victory over the Tigers on Jan. 9, 2021.
Under the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, no raucous student section awaited the Crimson Tide, but that didn’t prevent the teams from putting on an entertaining game that featured 16 lead changes and nine ties.
Freshman guard Joshua Primo led Alabama with 22 points, while senior forward Jordan Bruner followed with 20 points. Herbert Jones scored 19 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had five steals.
During one sequence in the second half, Jones drove the lane and dunked over Auburn’s Dylan Cardwell in a highlight still circulating today on social media.
”We knew it was going to be tough to come in here and get a win,“ Alabama head coach Nate Oats said. “I think our guys are learning how to win close games. It’s something we struggled with last year and now our guys are making tough plays down the stretch.”
Jaden Shackelford chipped in 11 points for Alabama and John Petty Jr. had 10.
The 2020-21 Crimson Tide went on to sweep both the SEC regular-season and tournament championships, a feat that had not been done since 1986-87.
