We should interest ourselves in the workings of the so-called textile companies like Hang Da textiles, shree/modern, among others. These aren't manufacturing textiles but rather import already made fabrics, which are again rolled here @mtic_uganda@ShieldInvestors@newsUMA

@TheMutambuze@IvanTwino1 Do what your heart desires... You can buy that plot, invest in other assets, study, or whatever. Pay less attention to these people. In most cases, you'll find out they're no longer renting
VIDEO: “What caused me discomfort was that the contractor is willing to finish in 2028. In the current Uganda, I’ve never seen a road contract running for eight years; I can’t allow it. Projects are delaying because there are many big people in government eating from them,” the new Minister of Works and Transport, Fred Byamukama, said on Friday, while setting March 2027 as the deadline for completion of the Mityana–Mubende Road and warning Serbian contractor EnergoProjekt that the contract could be terminated if progress does not improve.

Killed in Mob Attack at DTB Bank Ntinda ( @dtb_uganda )
It’s alleged that, this young man, lost his life on Monday following a mob attack at DTB Bank in Ntinda, according to accounts from witnesses, he had gone to the bank to withdraw money, after completing the transaction, a dispute reportedly arose when the bank manager accused him of having previously obtained money from him through fraud some months back & instructed security guards to stop him from moving out
as he attempted to leave the bank premises, a confrontation came up, boda boda riders in the area allegedly mistook the situation for maybe bank gun point robbers & descended on him, subjecting him to a severe beating
It’s said that, customers who were present at the bank intervened & rescued him from the mob before taking him back into the bank, @PoliceUg were later called to the scene but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries before he reached police station for statement
no one deserves to lose their life at the hands of a mob, allegations should be investigated by the police & courts, not decided through violence.
N.B I deleted this post yesterday, after DTB bank head office contacted me to pull it down, they assured me to issue out official statement on wat happened today morning, which they didn’t full fill, thus posting it again today evening ( I pledged to always speak for ordinary people (Abapakasi)

You pay contractors perhaps once or twice a year because you don't have the budget anyway, yet you have contractual obligations? Then you post pictures from meetings and add threats? Madam, respectfully, don't threaten people you owe money to with contract cancellations. Pay them on time, and they will work. Serbs are not afraid of work.
@NadaAndersen@sussiekats do we owe the Serbs money on that Mubende road? The last time the minister said all dues had been paid! We need to be in the same page on this.
Dear DTB bank ( @dtb_uganda
kindly make an official statement regarding the unfortunate incident that happened on Monday (Ntinda Branch), as a community leader my decision to pull down the post, as requested, has created impression that i was influenced/paid to do so by those who requested me to use my voice to raise their concerns which is not the case
the family of the deceased reached out to me coz they are seeking justice for their son, while i honored your request to remove the post in consideration of the image of the business, it is also important that such matters are addressed openly. If we do not raise concerns about mob attacks & loss of life, how will these incidents ever be resolved? this can happen to me tomorrow, to my son , to my wife…………,
i therefore request that DTB provides clarity on the matter through an official statement, both for the sake of transparency & to help the public understand what transpired
Thank you
Omupakasi, the voice of the ordinary people
