SHAM ELECTION: The Uganda Electoral Commission has refused to release the polling data used to declare Museveni the winner, choosing instead to gazette unsupported figures without evidence or transparency. This only reinforces what many Ugandans and observers already know: this was a sham election. We continue to demand that credible international partners refuse to legitimize this regime and instead hold accountable all military officials and Electoral Commission actors who participated in the systematic derailment of democracy in Uganda and across the region.
