Multiple emergency crews are on the scene as US Highway 285 in Reeves County remains shut down in both northbound and southbound directions. The closure is due to high winds and a blowing dust storm, which have created hazardous travel conditions with extremely low or no visibility. These dangerous conditions have led to multiple vehicle pileups and crashes that happened earlier this evening. The affected area is located north of Pecos, Texas. While the number of injuries is currently unknown, the Texas Department of Public Safety is urging the public to avoid the area and stay away for their safety
