“Nigerian Parents, Let Me Put You On a Secret. When You Have Your First Child, Instead Of Throwing a Big, Elaborate Birthday Party And Spending So Much Money Just Because It’s Their First Birthday, Do This Instead: Open An Investment Portfolio For Them. Here’s How.”
My husband wanted sex the same night he shouted at me in front of his friends.
I stayed quiet in the car.
When we got home he acted like everything was normal and pulled me close.
I stepped back and said I was not in the mood. He said I was punishing him. I went to the children’s room and slept there.
The next day he didn’t talk much. He kept looking at me but didn’t push.
In the evening he transferred money for the thing I had asked for months ago and sent the receipt.
He still tried again that night. I told him to wait. He didn’t argue. He just lay down and faced the wall.
The morning after, he apologised properly before I even woke up fully.
I wanted to send my parents their monthly allowance of 250,000 naira but my father's ATM card expired last week and he could not access his account.
I also had a pending promise of 50,000 naira to my mother, so I sent 300,000 naira into her account. I told her to take her 50,000 naira first, keep 100,000 naira from the remaining 250,000 naira and give my father 150,000 naira.
She appreciated it, thanked me and prayed for me.
This woman went behind my back and sent the complete 300,000 naira into my father's account with a full explanation.
He had to go to the bank today just to get a new ATM card so he could access the money.
He sent her 230,000 naira and kept only 70,000 naira for himself.
She called me with so much excitement and said:
"Your father is the sweetest man alive. If I come back to this world, I will choose him again."
Above all, love God.
My husband boldly told me, Thank you, in one of the most joyful, teary ways immediately after I put to bed and was stable.
I was wondering, thank you for what? 😂
Then he said, You made me a father. And together, we welcomed the best gift.
Immediately, I said, Oh, thank you, my love, for making me a mum too.🥹❤️
I heard some women murmuring, Awww, wowww…😘😘
Then someone behind me whispered, Na lie oo. E fit dey beat her for house like that.😂
But that’s not even the point of the story.
That day, I made up my mind that my children would never grow up thinking gratitude was optional.
As little as receiving a glass of water from Daddy, Mummy, or anyone else, let alone having their bills paid, you say thank you.
Not because the water was not ours to give them. Not because they had to earn our kindness.
But because appreciation is an important part of life.
Being able to recognise what people do for you, acknowledge it, and say thank you is one of those little skills they will need to survive in this world.
@ebedeegram Being a nice person does not equal receiving thesame treatment from people. A nice person is like a bleeding animal to wolves. They take and take from you untill they r either satisfied or u run out of energy.

Most people judge clothes on Temu by the photos.
Big mistake.
The fastest way to avoid buying clothes that feel like cheap plastic is to ignore the pictures and read the Fabric Composition.
Here's a simple cheat sheet:
Avoid (unless blended well)
• 100% Polyester
• 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex
• Cheap synthetic blends
Run away.
These are usually thin, shiny, trap heat, build static, and often feel like swimwear instead of actual clothing.
Look for
• Modal (extremely soft)
• Combed Cotton
• Ring-Spun Cotton
• 100% Cotton
• Viscose/Rayon (soft and smooth)
If you're shopping for specific items:
Jeans:
Search "100% Cotton Denim", "Heavyweight Denim", or "Rigid Denim".
Dress shirts:
Search "Oxford Cotton", "Cotton Poplin", or "100% Cotton Dress Shirt".
Jackets:
Search "Heavyweight", "Fleece Lined", or "Wool Blend".
Vintage clothes:
Look for Corduroy, Heavy Knit, or Washed Cotton.
One last trick that saves me money every time:
Never trust the product photos.
Go straight to the reviews, filter by "With Photos", and look at pictures uploaded by real buyers. That's where you'll see what the fabric actually looks and feels like.
Also look out for promos, you can get stuff for cheap and free packages for a cheap price.
Hope this helps once you understand your size, body, texture or material you're good.

God could have raised Jesus from the dead in 30 seconds.
He is sovereign over time. Christ could have satisfied divine justice, breathed his last, and walked out of that tomb within the hour.
The stone could have rolled away on Friday evening. There was no cosmic constraint forcing a three-day wait. God chose the silence. And that choice is itself a sermon.
We so easily skip to Sunday because we’re a culture of spoilers. We treat Saturday like a commercial break. But to the disciples, it wasn't "Holy Saturday." It was just silence. It felt like the end.
The tomb was sealed. The guards were posted. The disciples were scattered and weeping. From every observable angle, the story was over. Saturday was not dramatic, it was just quiet. And that silence felt like the verdict.
But God’s silence is never his absence.
This is one of his most consistent signatures across Scripture. Joseph rotted in an Egyptian prison for years between the dream and the throne.
Israel spent four centuries under Pharaoh’s whip between the covenant and the exodus.
Lazarus lay four days dead while Jesus, who had heard the news and deliberately waited, finally arrived to a grieving family asking why he had not come sooner.
The pattern is unbroken, God operates in the gap between promise and fulfillment, and that gap while appearing like inactivity, is actually just invisibility.
The three day wait was not a concession to time, it was a proclamation through time. In the ancient world, day three was the threshold of undeniable death. A 30-second resurrection looks like a medical fluke. A day-three resurrection slams the door. It proves the grave was truly locked before God kicked it open.
And the timing was prophetic to the letter, the sign of Jonah, the temple rebuilt in three days, Isaiah’s suffering servant assigned a grave. God does not cancel his own word. He fulfills it down to the schedule.
Interestingly, the disciples did not know Sunday was coming. They lived Saturday as though it were permanent.
Friday seemed like the final act to them. And that is exactly where many of us are right now. You received a word, a promise, a vision and then everything went quiet. You are living in Saturday, and Saturday feels like the story is over.
It is not over.
God’s activity and God’s visibility are not the same thing. What looks like a sealed tomb from the outside can be, from eternity’s vantage point, the most active moment in the history of your life. The enemy’s most determined act of sealing always becomes God’s most glorious setup for opening. The silence is not the verdict, it is gestation.
The waiting of Saturday has a shape. The silence has a purpose. And when God breaks it, He doesn’t just answer your question, He swallows it whole.
Sunday is coming. Hold on through Saturday.
