@chrissyfarr Nobody sequences HIV strains anymore, or argues for single (or even dual) treatment modalities. Of course, the big challenge for cancer therapeutics in this context is going to be finding three or four agents that are tolerable for many years. (It’s what we are aiming at!)

@chrissyfarr My feeling, fwiw, is that the rapidly evolving cancers (NSCLC, PDAC etc) that aren’t curable at the moment, will be turned into chronic diseases like HIV, which, when you think about it, is an acquired genetic disease treated at diagnosis by multiple targeted therapies.
