📢Today we've sent a letter to the #COP28 Presidency and Health Team, urging the prioritisation of child health in climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts. 👇1/2

Really great to meet lots of first aiders from local schools and school nurses. Teaching about allergies, anaphylaxis and the allergy emergency bags to keep food allergic children safe in local schools
Today, our paediatric allergy team hosted local school nurses and first-aiders
They trained them in all things allergies, from action plans to epi-pen and inhaler usage
Our paediatric allergy team is part of our CQC-rated outstanding children's services #KidsDeserveStGeorges
Hand washing is often as effective as wearing gloves AND avoids plastic waste

@BenedictBlytheF Thank you for highlighting this. In Wandsworth and Merton we provide allergy emergency bags to all schools. We provide annual training to first aiders and school nurses so that we can keep children with food allergies safer at school
This is why we focus on schools. Children spend such a large proportion of their life there, so having consistent safeguards in place is important.
