@jimpavia Maybe that wasn't their intention. As someone who adds personal details to pitches (as applicable), I keep the content of the email as is and add it to the top because I'd honestly feel weird not saying anything about it. Would you feel differently if it were more of a footnote?
@jimpavia What's wrong with acknowledging another person's accomplishment, especially when you were going to email them anyway? They didn't have to congratulate you or mention your milestone. It may seem like a disconnect, but it's called being nice. Congrats on 10 years, by the way.
@PRisUs I became friends with a local food journalist back in the day. My boss made me ask him why he didn't include our client in his roundups ๐ซ I do think establishing relationships is important, but so is being professional and observing some sense of decency
