@NBACouchside@CT_WIU I wonder if Swain is still dealing with or recovering from illness. It was briefly reported at the combine that he was sick and down 15 pounds from his playing weight as a result. He doesn’t look to have the same burst, strength and energy he showed in college
@37cycles@Will_Gottlieb@CHGO_Bulls I don’t know if the Pelicans have been involved, but this would make sense for everyone. Bulls get Patrick Williams off the books & add a 3-point gunner on an expiring contract. Celtics get rim pressure and a 1st. Pelicans separate Zion from Queen while getting a star who fits
@NBACouchside I want a Patrick Williams for Jordan Poole swap. Gives New Orleans room under the tax to add someone they like, while the Bulls trade a 3-year commitment for an expiring contract
@chisportsross Andre Iguodala and Jaime Jaquez. Strong wings who can handle the ball and convert around the rim, solid (Jaquez) to very good (Iggy) defense, low 3-pt volume with a shaky outside jumper
@DraftDeeper Gary Payton and Nate McMillan come to mind in terms of physicality, though McMillan was in his mid-20s by the time Payton was drafted (this was also 30+ years ago)
@Bulls_Jay Wonder if Gary Trent Jr could be had for a single unprotected 1st and the Beverley/Nunn contracts. He’s kinda perfect for them: 3-point bomber and on-ball perimeter defender who doesn’t need the ball and won’t turn it over. Has a $19M player option so maybe available
In honor of SGA's hyper-efficient 42/6/7 last night, including the game-winner, here's a throwback to my favorite scouting report I ever wrote

@mingusplease @NBACouchside I'd prefer a trade over continuity given that last year's team was average, not young, & had glaring weaknesses. As an example, I traded for PJ Washington, Poeltl, & Tari Eason (in place of Pat, Coby, & Dalen Terry) in a mock https://t.co/6mNU6urOYr
I'm not necessarily opposed to trading for Gobert, but I think there may be better options. Just finished up a mock draft for the Bulls where I wound up with Jakob Poeltl, PJ Washington, and Tari Eason. Here's how https://t.co/6mNU6urOYr
@bjpf_ Malcolm Brogdon’s the best example I can think of. Tyus Jones has really honed his floater to finish better in the paint but he still doesn’t get to the rim
