idk if it’s an adhd thing or what but it’s very weird being depressed asf all day and then for one interesting event or interaction i can be instantly lifted into a good mood before slowly slipping back into melancholy
Protestants can't comprehend that we actually believe in our religion and take it seriously when Jesus tells us to clothe the naked, feed the hungry, and visit the prisoners.
I think the timeline deviated into the Bad Timeline when the Cubs won the World Series in 2016 and Trump was elected a week later. If the White Sox can pull this off, we will be back in the Better Timeline and the midterms will follow suit.
Future's misogyny really has so many levels to it. The fact his ideal woman is someone who "has potential" instead of a woman who has realised her potential boggles my mind. Just wakes up every day articulating perfect radfem theory but from the other side
Digger starts with a shadow (‘Fossil Fools’ play) then it steps back to show the cave with leaky ceiling (the theater where the play is being rehearsed) THEN it steps back yet again to show the man holding a torch…
Every layer of the movie is packed with message, and it gives you a feast for thought; what do you think Maggie represents? Is she the Mother Nature Digger is holding onto after slowly killing her with his own selfish needs for her presence? Is she the representation of Digger Rockwell’s last shred of humanity, which died long ago but he held onto it believing he still ‘has it in him’, even after she turned into ash? Is it merely a plot device within the play to show that Digger also was a man who was capable of showing empty and love?
Was Kenny a good person? Is he playing god himself for Curtis when Hope was lost? Is art and creation of art absurd and meaningless? Should we just stop making art altogether because it doesn’t solve anything in the real world? Should art have more meaning than the mere fact that it was made by humans? Is the exchange of our thoughts meaningless if it doesn’t lead to action?
The movie is extremely thought provoking, and that’s why i see Digger the best movie of the century.
… and there are people who cannot see past the shadow of the movie and jumps up and down that this movie is climate change satire, and refused to engage in any meaningful discussion. What a sad time to live in😔
he's always vindicated for this quote cus people for real don't bring up european or american director's nationality constantly while talking about their films like this
Yes; it's difficult for the modern mind (especially one raised in Christianity) to comprehend how violently unorthodox and offensive Christ's teachings were to the dominant Judaic sects of his time - divinization of the human nature through union with God right at the core of everything. Even when He spoke "clearly" it still had to be very carefully crafted rhetorically to even remotely land in a Jewish audience.
