If you're starting in eCom and you have

- Less than $10,000 in your bank
- No previous eCom experience
- Minimal creative strategy skills
- Haven't been able to "find" a winning product

I honestly think you should hold off on starting your own brand

At least for now...

Why???

Simply put

You will get SMOKED by other eCom brand owners.

To scale an eCom store in today's market with a minimal skill set is nearly impossible.

The only way you actually make money is

1. Getting extremely lucky in finding a product
2. Ripping everything from someone else.

But here's the problem.

Even if you do get lucky

Or even if you do decide to rip everything.

You build 0 SKILL SET.

You just became a highly paid VA

A professional copy-paster

And that's where so many people fall off in eCom.

The goal is not to get rich quickly

It's to STAY rich.

And if you want to stay rich

You have to build a skill set.

We've had multiple dudes in EVOLVE scale their own brands to $1,000,000+ a month in revenue with 2 people on their team

Them + a customer service VA...

Optimal?

Absolutely not lol.

BUT

You could take away their entire brand tomorrow

And within a couple of months (probably weeks)

They could scale another brand back to $50k+/month in PROFIT with their eyes closed

HOW???

Skill set.

So if we "isolate the variable" of what you need to actually make money & STAY making money in eCom

You need to build a skill set.

Now, as much as it SUCKS to put your ego to the side.

And as much as it sucks to not be able to tell your friends that

"You have your own business now"

If you just spent the next 6-12 months learning the #1 skill set that EVERY single eCom brand needs to hit $100k/days...

👉 Which is Creative Strategy 👈

Don't you think that once you:

1. Learned everything about creative strategy
2. Made 100s of ads yourself
3. Got feedback on whether or not they performed
4. Got PAID real money for the ads that won

That you'd be in a better position to start your brand?

And more importantly

You'd have enough cash STACKED UP so you can actually launch a legit brand

I'd say so.

If there's one thing I can say that has led to me having "some kind of success" in eCom

It's been acquiring a skill set.

@shauneng and I spent 3 years doing EVERYTHING for brands at our agency before delegating

And those 3 years, we didn't make much money

But, we got something more valuable than money...

We got a skill set.

And now, thanks to @karlocreates and @ecomtalent

You can develop a skill set that not only

1. Will be crucial to your own brand's success
2. You can later on charge 10s of thousands of $$ for
3. Could unlock doors to work with your favorite brands

And I can only say that

Because it's happening for 100s of others right now inside.

Dropshipping isn't dead

eCom isn't dead

Facebook ads aren't broken

You just lack a skill set.

For anybody serious about "making it" in eCom
