@TomiSwegg That was hard to watch. RIP Danya, i hope Kramnik gets what he deserves, or he will keep taking others down. Hard to believe someone so brilliant can be such a piece of trash
Its painfully obvious that, as people from the first cycles got hilariously rich and moved to other things, CT got slowly replaced by young spreadsheet warriors with student debt hungry for making money. Most of the people you read in CT are on a salary, and more often than not, their speech follows a 3rd party agenda.
I remember when CT used to be a bunch of nerds bouncing ideas about nation state attacks, endgame state of PoW and PoS, the power of open source and what disrupting the middle man truly meant. Now all you see in every discusion is revenue, percentages, performance KPIs... we esentially created something incredible and then tried to make it smaller to fit the world view of a bunch of nobodies, and no one bats an eye when somehow the best application that we can come up to represent the industry is permisionless Tiktok
Gas limit has also increased from 30 to 45 in that period. I think its normal that, as # of chains increase, amount of activity in mainnet decreases, but quality of the avg interaction increases. Hyperliquid being the place for trading spot in size though, hurts ETH bullcase quite a lot.
@malekanoms@joaomendoncaaaa Those are great examples because its hard to find cases outside of crypto where a vertical gets over 1B+ while their users get royally fucked. Shame on everybody promoting this crap.
You guys are making a weird push to promote assets that royally fuck their users to benefit issuers. Just make a Sankey diagram on how the upside is shared in a RWA vs a memecoin/Believe token between holder, issuer and middle man.
Saying its "infinitely more exciting" and receiving no pushback is disgusting.
Derisked a lot and buying some downside protection for end of June.
Trump did say this would still be a "Biden Economy"
